SOMMAIRE
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
- This product is designed only for household use. Do not use it for industrial or commercial purposes.
- The appliance will be very hot during and immediately after operating. Use gloves or other convenient
protection accessories in order to avoid burns and injuries.

- Never place or use the appliance on or close to a cooking hob or other heat sources.
- Do not twist, bend, pull or damage the power cord. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow it to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
- Make sure your hands are dry when touching the appliance, the power cord or the plug.
- Do not immerse the product in water or other liquid. The appliance is no dishwasher safe.
- Let the device cool down after being used. Allow a minimum safety distance on all sides and do not allow any flammable material to come into contact with the device. The appliance must not be covered.
- Do not operate the device near explosive or flammable materials.
- Do not use a scouring pad to clean the appliance. Metal fragments could come loose and touch the device electrical parts and cause a short circuit. Check the metallic parts of
the device regularly.
- Use an extension cord only if it is in good condition.
- Do not switch the appliance off by pulling from the cord.
- If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
- Any intervention, other than normal cleaning and maintenance, must be performed by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- Cecotec is not responsible for possible damages caused by an inappropriate or unreasonable use.
- Unplug the device from the outlet when it is not in use or when it is being cleaned.
- Supervise children, as they shall not play with the appliance. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. The cleaning and maintenance of the appliance should not be carried out by children under 8 without supervision.
- This appliance must not be operated with timers or external remote control system.
- Supervise children, as they shall not play with the appliance.
INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
- Take the product out of the box.
- Remove all packaging material. Keep the original box.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any sign of visible damage is observed, immediately contact with the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- Before using the device for the first time, operate it for 15 minutes without any food on it. This will help remove the scent that the device emits when used for the first time. The device may also emit some smoke. Keep the room ventilated during this process.
- Make sure the appliance is placed on a stable, flat surface when in use.
3. OPERATION
- Plug the device in.
- If it is the first time the device is used, it is recommended to apply some oil to the surface and then wipe it with a soft cloth.
- Turn the knob to the "MAX" position for the device to start preheating. This process will take about 10 minutes. The operation light indicator will remain lit up while the raclette heats up and until it reaches the right temperature, and then it will turn off.
- It is also suggested to leave a 15-cm distance between the device and the closest wall.

Place the pan with food inside under the heating element. Once it has preheated, turn the knob to the desired temperature position. It is recommended to select a high temperature to cook rear or medium rear meat, medium temperature to cook well done meat and low temperature to gratin. Metallic parts will reach high temperatures. Do not touch them.

Turn the knob slightly to the left of the "MIN" sign and unplug the device from the power supply when you have finished cooking.
- Unplug the device from the power supply if it is not going to be used for a long period of time.
Warning
Smoke might be observed during the first use due to residual wastes from manufacture.
- Use a wooden spatula to turn or remove the food.
- Do not use pans other than those included with the product.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device surface.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.

- Store the appliance in a dry and cool place.
