Important Instructions for Your Safety!
To avoid danger for life via electric shock as well as fire danger via short circuit:
- Only use the mains charging adapter in dry rooms, do not use in moist environments.
- If the mains charging adapter or its mains cable is damaged, do not continue to use it. The mains charging adapter cannot be repaired, have it replaced by customer service or by specialised trade.
- Only use the supplied connection cable. Other models might not ensure your safety.
- Do not open the housing of the devices, it might not be possible to close them completely and safely.
- Do not subject devices to any head sources, e.g. solar radiation, heating...
- Do not let your children or invalid persons play with the device. They might not be able to realise potential dangers with respect to electrical energy.
To avoid the risk of accidents and injuries:
- Do not use the device as hairdrier – your hair could get caught by the device and be pulled into it!
- Do not direct the air jet in the direction of persons or animals. Particles which might be contained in the air jet could meet the object at high speed and cause injuries.
4. Charging
Charge the device completely prior to its initial use. The accumulator is only pre-charged to a minimum extent ex works.
Attention: The capacity (service life) of the accumulator decreases, if it is often charged or discharged only to half the extent possible (socalled "memory effect"). Therefore:
Always charge the device completely and not only to half the extent possible.
- Charge the device only if its capacity is noticeably low and not just in between.
- Avoid draining the accumulator - i.e. do not discharge it completely. This might destroy the accumulator.
a) Via a mains charging adapter
the complete charging process of the accumulator takes 5-8 hours:
Insert the low voltage plug of the mains adapter ...
in the left socket with the battery symbol ...
and then insert the mains plug in the socket. Now the device is being charged!
b) Via the motor vehicle charging cable ...
the complete charging process of the accumulator takes 5-8 hours:
3 Insert the low voltage plug of the motor vehicle charging cable...
in the left socket with the battery symbol ...
and only then insert the motor vehicle plug in the cigarette lighter of the car.
This sequence prevents a short circuit if the low voltage plug which is already live falls out of your hands.
5. Application
First place one of the supplied adapters on the discharge nozzle at the side.
a) Via the integrated accumulator:
5 If the latter is completely charged, you can switch on and off the device simply by means of the main switch.
To do this, switch the main switch to position II. The device turns on.
b) Via the mains charging adapter
If the accumulator is empty, insert the low voltage plug of the mains charging adapter...
in the right socket with the impeller symbol.
and then insert the mains plug in the socket. The integrated accumulator is not charged by this!
Switch the main switch to position I. The device turns on.
c) Via the motor vehicle charging cable
3 If the accumulator is empty insert the low voltage plug of the motor vehicle cable...
in the right socket with the impeller symbol.
and only then insert the motor vehicle plug in the cigarette lighter of the car. The integrated accumulator is not charged by this!
Switch the main switch to position I. The device turns on.
d) Suction instead of blowing
Warning: Not suited for suction of liquids, especially inflammable liquids! The device might explode!
Via the air intake at the top of the device you can also suck in air, e.g. if an inflatable object shall be deflated quicker.
6. Storage
Store the device in such a way that it will not be switched on accidentally. Otherwise the device could be damaged, if the draining of the accumulator is caused or if objects are sucked in accidentally.
7. Replacing of fuses
Attention: Do not bridge a fuse - and do not use any other value than specified. Otherwise your motor vehicle network is not protected sufficiently!
The motor vehicle plug features a miniature fuse to protect your motor vehicle's network from accidental short circuits. If the miniature fuse has blown ...
4 turn off the cap of the motor vehicle plug and replace the miniature plug by a new one with the identical value "T5 H250" purchased at a specialised electrical dealer.
