• To avoid food contamination, please follow the instructions below:

• Opening the door for a long period of time may cause a significant increase in temperature in the appliance compartments.

• Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with food and with the accessible draining systems.

• Store raw meat and fish in proper containers in the freezer, so they do not come into contact with or leak on other food.

• The two-star compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream, and making ice cubes.
  o Compartments with one, two, or three stars are not suitable for freezing fresh food.

• If the appliance is not going to be used or be empty for a long period of time, switch it off, allow it to defrost, clean it, dry it, and leave the doors open to prevent interior mould growth.

- Before carrying out any maintenance and cleaning task, turn off the appliance and unplug it.

- It is advisable to wait for at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow oil to flow through the compressor.

- Air must flow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating. To achieve good ventilation, follow the installation instructions.

- Whenever possible, the rear part of the appliance should not be too close to the wall to prevent it from touching or reaching the hot parts (the compressor and the condenser). To avoid risk of fire, follow the installation instructions.

- Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after installation of the appliance.

- All electrical work required to maintain this appliance must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

- Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this manual. Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and be dangerous for the user.

- WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure that the power cable does not get trapped or damaged.

- WARNING: do not place multiple mobile sockets or mobile power supplies on the rear of the appliance.

- The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

- Taking into account the limiting values of the room temperature range for the climates for which the appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected by factors such as the location of the appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature control device according to these factors.

- If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e. beyond the rated ambient temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired indoor temperatures.

Refrigerant

- Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however,

it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.

• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.
• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.
• This symbol means: warning, risk of fire/flammable materials.

• If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

Before using the refrigerator

• Remove all transport packaging.
• Once installed, allow the refrigerator to stand for at least four hours before connecting it to the mains.
• It is recommended to clean the inside of the appliance before starting it up. To do this, use a solution of baking soda and warm water and then dry the inside of the refrigerator

thoroughly. The refrigerator may give off a peculiar smell when it is opened for the first time. This smell will disappear as the appliance cools down.

3. INSTALLATION

Note:

• The first time you start the appliance, the refrigerator compartment and freezer compartment will operate at an initial temperature of 5 °C and -18 °C respectively, until it is lowered to the desired temperature.
• If the appliance is switched off, wait five minutes before switching it on again to avoid unnecessary damage to the compressor.
• Never store flammable or explosive objects, acids or corrosive alkaline substances in the appliance.
• The appliance preserves food by cooling the bottom wall of the refrigerator. It is therefore normal for ice or frost to accumulate on this surface. After a while, this adhering layer of frost melts and is drained out through a small drain hole at the back of the refrigerator. The presence of frost on the rear does not mean that the refrigerator is not working properly.

Installation preparation

• Never install the appliance near heat sources, such as heaters or cookers, or in damp places.
• At least two people are required to transport and install the appliance safely. When lifting the appliance, the edges may be somewhat sharp. Use appropriate protective equipment for transport and installation.
• To ensure that the refrigerator is level, adjust the front adjustable feet to the desired height.
• Make sure that the cooling system at the rear of the appliance does not touch the wall. The greater the separation distance, the better.
• The appliance must be installed in a well-ventilated place. Be sure to leave enough space at the top of the appliance to allow air to escape and to maintain an adequate clearance between the back of the appliance and the wall.
• Place the refrigerator in a stable place where vibrations do not occur. In places where earthquakes occur frequently, the refrigerator must be secured so that it does not fall to the ground and cause accidents.
• If the space around the refrigerator is small or if objects are placed on the top or side of the appliance, heat dissipation may be impaired and cause unnecessary waste of electrical energy.
• Contact between the rear surface of the appliance and the wall can cause vibrations and noises.

• If the refrigerator is placed too close to a wall or other objects, they may burn due to heat dissipation.

• If the refrigerator is placed near heat sources or in a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight, the cooling effect will be reduced, resulting in extra electricity consumption.

• Adjust the feet at the front of the refrigerator to place it in an upright position. If it is not properly levelled, noise and vibrations may occur.
• If the refrigerator is placed on a carpet or any other soft object, place a cushion mat under the refrigerator, otherwise it may tip over and cause injury.
• Make sure that the refrigerator is connected to an earthed socket, otherwise an electric shock may occur.
• Do not place the refrigerator in wet or humid places.
• During transport, make sure that the refrigerator door does not come into contact with any object that could damage it, and that the inclination of the refrigerator does not exceed 45^ .
• Place the refrigerator in a well-ventilated dry place, where it is not exposed to direct sunlight. Additionally, avoid placing it near heat sources.
• Do not expose the refrigerator to low temperatures.
• Installation dimensions of the refrigerator: sufficient space must be provided for the installation of the refrigerator and for proper ventilation and heat dissipation, so please first ensure that the dimensions of the space in which you intend to install the refrigerator meet the requirements before installation. In figure 2, you can see the dimensions required for the installation.
• Be sure to leave a space of at least 200 cm2 at the back of the cabinet where the appliance is to be fitted for proper ventilation, as this is a fully panelled appliance, and ventilation will need to be provided in this way. Air will circulate from the rear and exit from the top, so a space of at least 200 cm2 must also be left at the top for the air to exit.
• It is recommended that the height of the refrigerator trim panel is 710-720 mm.

Ventilation

Specifications for built-in installation

Refer to figure 2 to check the correct dimensions of the refrigerator and cabinet, as well as the required ventilation openings.

When installing this type of built-in appliances in the kitchen furniture, please observe the following instructions:

• Do not tilt the refrigerator more than 40°.
• Figure 3 shows the distance between the rear of the refrigerator and the cabinet. It should be at least 30~cm and a top view of the rear ventilation opening.

• You must leave an opening somewhere in the cabinet to allow air to enter the refrigerator. In the example in this manual, the ventilation opening is provided through the baseboard at the bottom of the refrigerator.
• Drill a hole in the baseboard and install a ventilation grille.
• Another option is to cut a small part of the plinth to allow air to enter the appliance. Recommended dimensions: 500 x 40 mm.
• There should be a ventilation opening at the top of the cabinet. Recommended size of the ventilation opening: 500 x 40 mm.
• If the cabinet does not allow air to enter around the appliance, a ventilation grille in the baseboard or other ventilation system must be installed to ensure that air can circulate naturally.
• Sufficient space must also be left between the rear of the cabinet and the appliance so that cold air can circulate to the condenser.
• Recommended: 500 x 40 mm.
• For the appliance to work properly, it is important that the top of the refrigerator is not completely blocked. For most appliances it is advisable to leave a distance of 40-50 mm. To allow air to enter the compressor and heat exchanger, a ventilation opening must be made in the base of the cabinet.
• Generally, the more air that can flow in and out, the more efficiently the appliance will work.

Reversing the opening direction of the door. A)

The door opening direction of the refrigerator can be changed. You can choose to open the door to the right or to the left, depending on the installation space requirements.

Refer to figure 4 to check the accessories included for the procedure.

1. Removing the screw caps:

1.1 Start by removing the screw caps on the top side of the door. Use a suitable tool to pry and carefully remove the caps.
1.2 Perform the same procedure on the bottom of the refrigerator, removing the screw caps.

1. Removing the hinges:

Remove the hinges of the refrigerator starting from the top. Loosen the hinge screws and remove each hinge. Proceed from top to bottom.

1. Removing the doors:

Disassemble the refrigerator doors. Remove the upper door first, followed by the lower door. Make sure the doors are completely loose before lifting them off.

1. Reinstalling the hinges on the opposite side:

4.1 Place the hinges on the opposite side of the refrigerator. Install the top hinge first, making sure it is aligned correctly.
4.2 Then install the bottom hinge on the opposite side, securing the screws firmly.

1. Installing the freezer and refrigerator door:

5.1 Assemble the freezer door to the previously installed bottom hinge. Make sure it is correctly aligned with the cabinet.
5.2 Assemble the refrigerator door on the top hinge. Align the door and make sure it slides smoothly when opening and closing.
6. Attaching the doors to the cabinet (bottom to top):

6.1 Place the freezer door on the bottom hinge and check that it is securely tightened.

6.2 Then install the middle hinge and secure the freezer door to the cabinet frame.

6.3 Proceed to install the refrigerator door on the top hinge.

6.4 Check that both doors open and close correctly, making sure that they are properly aligned.

1. Fixing the hinges to the cabinet:

7.1 Attach the middle and top hinges to the cabinet, securing the screws tightly.
7.2 Tighten all hinge screws using appropriate tools to ensure that the doors are securely fixed.

1. Fitting the screw caps:

Add the plastic caps to cover the screws that have been used to secure the hinges. Place a cap on each screw, ensuring that they fit securely.

1. Adjusting the cabinet hinges:

Adjust the cabinet hinges carefully to ensure that the gaps between the refrigerator doors are even at the top and bottom. This step ensures that the doors close properly and that the sealing is efficient.

Turn the adjusting screws until the doors are perfectly aligned and the gaps are even.

1. Installing the refrigerator in the wooden cabinet:

2.1 Use a rope or guide to pass the power cord through the corresponding hole in the cabinet, ensuring that it is accessible for connection to the power outlet.

2.2 Place the refrigerator inside the wooden cabinet carefully, making sure that it fits correctly and stably.

2.3 Make sure that the refrigerator is levelled inside the cabinet for optimal performance and to avoid problems when closing the doors.

1. Adjusting the refrigerator and fitting the lower fixing piece:

3.1 Use the spanner to adjust the height of the refrigerator. This will allow you to level the appliance.

3.2 After levelling the refrigerator, install the lower fixing piece. This piece should be installed at the front, as shown in the figure, and screwed to the floor with 4x10 mm screws.

3.3 If necessary, use more screws to secure the base of the appliance and ensure its stability. It is important to check that the installation is firm and secure.

1. Fitting the plastic cover and removing the clip:

4.1 Attach the plastic cover to the bottom of the refrigerator, above the screws. This covers the base and gives an aesthetic finish as well as protecting the screws.

4.2 Make sure that the cover is properly positioned and aligned over the screws, covering the entire bottom fixing.

4.3 Once everything is correctly installed and adjusted, remove the measuring clip used as a reference for height or installation.

Note: The clip is simply a temporary installation accessory, and it is important to remove it upon completion. Make sure that the fixing is secure, and the refrigerator is properly levelled to avoid future problems.

1. Upper fixing:

5.1 After the top of the refrigerator has been fixed, check that the distance between the cover and the edge is 41 mm.

5.2 Then attach the top plate using the appropriate screws. In this step, it is important to make sure that the pieces are firmly installed using 2 screws A and 2 screws M.

1. Installing trim and sliding elements:

6.1 Attach the trim panel on the edge of the refrigerator door. This trim panel is placed in the space between the door and the frame to give it an aesthetic finish.

6.2 After installing it, cut off the exceeding trim panel so that it is aligned with the edge of the door. This should be done after the trim panel has been secured in place.
6.3 Finally, install the sliding bases on the doors. Here, it is recommended to add only one screw first to ensure that the doors slide properly before proceeding with the rest of the screws.

1. Installing the covers and slider:

7.1 Fit the covers to the refrigerator hinges to cover the visible mechanisms. Then insert the slider into the corresponding base, making sure that it is correctly aligned with the sliding points.
7.2 After measuring, mark the fixing positions of the slider on the cabinet door. Once marked, the slider should be fixed using a screw to ensure that it is properly installed.

1. Checking the slider performance:

8.1 Check that the slider is working properly by gently sliding the doors. Check that the refrigerator opens correctly in the direction indicated.
8.2 It is also important to check that the refrigerator doors slide smoothly and without resistance. This appliance is designed to be opened to the left, so make sure that the movement is correct.

1. Adjusting the slider base:

9.1 To make the adjustment, first remove the slider base installed on the wooden door. This will allow you to make modifications or changes, if necessary.
9.2 Then close the refrigerator door to ensure that it is correctly adjusted, leaving the wooden door open for easy access.

1. Slider final assembly:

In this last step, the slider must be fully assembled to the wooden door, using the appropriate screws to secure the slider and ensure that the wooden door slides correctly together with the refrigerator door.

1. Installing the sliding covers:

11.1 Finally, place the sliding covers over the sliders to hide the fixings and give an aesthetically pleasing finish to the assembly.
11.2 The slider should then be reinserted into the corresponding base, ensuring that all parts fit together correctly.
11.3 Reattach the sliding base to the refrigerator door using the screws provided. This step is crucial to ensure that the sliding motion of the doors runs smoothly.

Installation verification and product testing

- After completing the assembly, it is important to check whether the installation has been carried out correctly. Adjustments should be made if any problems are noticed in the sliding motion of the doors or in the stability of the refrigerator.

- Once this has been checked, plug the refrigerator into the mains and switch it on. It is essential to check that the appliance is working properly, making sure that it cools and operates smoothly.

4. OPERATION

• Connect the refrigerator to the mains. When you connect the refrigerator to the mains (either for the first time or after unplugging it) it will operate with the default settings.
• You can set the refrigerator to the temperature range you require using the corresponding icons.
• After 3 to 4 hours, the refrigerator will have cooled down completely, so you can put the food you want to store inside.

Adjusting the temperature inside the appliance

• The control panel is located inside the appliance, more precisely, on the upper wall of the refrigerator compartment. You can use it to change the temperature in both compartments. Press the thermometer icon several times to change the temperature. The selected level will flash.
• Please note that both compartments will have the same numbering.
• This refrigerator has 7 setting levels (1-7). Level 1 is the highest temperature setting, while 7 is the lowest.
• If you want to switch the appliance off, press the power icon. Press this icon again to switch it back on.

Additional information on temperature

• The temperature inside the appliance is influenced by many factors such as ambient temperature, direct sunlight exposure, how often the door is opened and the amount of food stored. In most cases, we recommend that you choose an intermediate setting level (e.g. 4).
• Do not put any food into the refrigerator before it has reached the optimal operating temperature. You should wait about 4 hours before doing so.
• You do not need to adjust the temperature every time the season changes. The increase in room temperature will be detected by the sensor and the compressor will automatically

switch on for a longer period of time in order to maintain the set temperature inside both compartments.

- Please note that it is normal for slight temperature changes to occur during operation, especially if you have stored a large amount of fresh food or if you have opened the door frequently. This will not affect the condition of the stored food, as the temperature will quickly return to its set value.

Refrigerator compartment

• Close bottles and liquid containers tightly.
• Do not put hot or freshly cooked food directly into the refrigerator. Let hot food cool down to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator compartment.
• Make sure that food is not in contact with the back wall of the refrigerator, as this can lead to frost formation and possible condensation problems.
• Be sure to wash the food and dry it thoroughly before placing it in the refrigerator.
• Wrap or cover food before placing it in the refrigerator. This will help prevent moisture loss, keep food fresh and prevent odours.
• When storing foods in the refrigerator, sort them according to their expiration day. Place foods that will be expiring soon at the front of the shelves to prevent them from spoiling if the door is left open by accident for an extended period of time.
• Do not overload the refrigerator with food. Make sure to leave enough space between the different foods so that cold air can circulate properly.
• Defrosting frozen foods in the refrigerator compartment will help maintain a low temperature and save energy.
• Separate raw meats from cooked products by using different shelves. This will prevent cross-contamination caused by the contact of raw meat juices with other foods.

Freezer compartment

• The freezer compartment is designed for freezing fresh food, storing deep-frozen products and making ice cubes.
• Do not put hot or warm foods directly into the freezer. Allow them to cool to room temperature before storing.
• When storing frozen foods, follow the storage instructions on the packaging. If it does not contain any specific information, the food must be consumed within three months from the date of purchase.
• Store food in small containers (ideally less than 1 kg) to reduce freezing time and improve quality after thawing.
• Wrap or cover food properly before placing it in the refrigerator. To prevent the film wrappings from sticking together, make sure they are completely dry.
• Before freezing food, label it indicating the type of product, freezing date and expiration date.
• Once thawed, food cannot be refrozen. Defrost only as much food as necessary to avoid food waste.

• Do not place bottled or canned beverages in the freezer, as they may explode.
• Do not exceed the maximum amount of food to be frozen.

5. INSTRUCTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE

The refrigerator compartment is designed for short-term storage of food, i.e. food that will be consumed soon. Although this compartment can maintain very low temperatures, it is not recommended for long-term food storage.

When distributing food in the refrigerator, keep in mind that the temperature tends to vary between different zones. Therefore, each type of food must be stored in a specific zone. See Fig. 13.

The refrigerator shelves can be rearranged according to the storage conditions of each food item. To remove a shelf, hold it on both sides with your hands and lift the back slightly. Then pull it out.

To reposition the shelf, slide it back into the guide until it fits into place.

To avoid food contamination, please follow the instructions below:

• Opening the door for a long period of time may cause a significant increase in temperature in the appliance's compartments.
• Regularly clean the surfaces that might be in contact with food and accessible evacuation systems.
• Clean the water tank if it hasn't been used for 48 h; rinse the distribution system connected to the water distribution network if water has not been withdrawn for 5 days.
• Store raw meat and fish in appropriate containers so as to prevent them from touching or dripping on each other.
• The two-star compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream, and making ice cubes.
• Compartments with one, two, or three stars are not suitable for freezing fresh food.

- If the refrigerator remains empty for a long period of time, unplug it, defrost it, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent interior mould formation.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• You should clean the refrigerator at least once a month.
• Unplug the refrigerator to avoid electrical shock.
• In case of oil stains, wipe with a damp cloth and a little neutral liquid soap. When cleaning is complete, make sure that no product residue remains.
• Do not clean the refrigerator with alkaline liquid detergent, washing powder, petrol alcohol or talcum powder to avoid damaging the coating and plastic.
• Remove dust from the back and bottom of the refrigerator periodically to keep it clean.

Checks required after maintenance

• Check the power cable and plug for damage.
• Check the plug for dust.
• Check if the plug is too hot.
• Check that the cable is properly plugged to the power socket.

Note: if the power cable or plug is damaged or dusty, it may cause an electric shock.

Troubleshooting

Before contacting the official Cecotec Technical Support Service, please refer to the following troubleshooting table.

If the refrigerator does not work:

- Check that the plug is properly connected to the power socket.

• Make sure that the fuses are not blown.
• Check that it is on.
• Check that the socket is working properly. To do this, plug another electrical appliance into the socket.

If the refrigerator works, but not properly:

• Make sure that you have not overload the refrigerator with food.
• Check that the thermostat is set to a suitable temperature. Make sure the door is properly closed.
• Make sure that the cooling system at the rear of the appliance has not accumulated dust and is not touching the wall.
• Be sure to leave enough space around the appliance for good ventilation.

If the refrigerator shakes or makes noise:

• Make sure that the appliance is levelled and installed on a stable surface.
• Check that there is sufficient clearance between the walls and the appliance and that nothing is resting on it.

Note: It is normal for the refrigerant gas in the refrigerator to emit a slight bubbling or gurgling sound, even when the compressor is not running.

If the warning alarm has been activated:

- Check that the doors are properly closed. The alarm will be activated if the door remains open for more than 60 seconds.

If a layer of ice has formed on back wall of the refrigerator:

• It is normal for some frost to form on this wall. This does not affect the operation of the appliance.
• Make sure that no food touches this part of the refrigerator.
• Check that there is some resistance when opening the appliance door. If it opens easily, the gasket may need to be replaced.
• Check that the door gasket is not deformed, dirty or damaged. If you notice a malfunction and are unable to fix it yourself, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to have the gasket replaced.
• This may be due to the door(s) not being properly fixed.

If too much ice has formed in the freezer:

• Check that there is some resistance when opening the appliance door. If it opens easily, the gasket may need to be replaced.
• Check that the door gasket is not deformed, dirty or damaged. If you notice a malfunction and are unable to fix it yourself, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to have the gasket replaced.
• This may be due to the door(s) not being properly fixed.

If the interior LED light does not work:

- Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
