ENGLISH pro 230 Wet N'Dry straightener Straighten and sculpt your hair ful- I! No longer any need to wait until your hair is completely dry. Thanks to the exclusive Wet N'Dry evapo- ration system, from now on you can use your straightener on damp hair. By using the dampness in your hair, you can straighten more deeply and thus obtain results that are even softer and silkier, and a hold that is even longer lasting. The straightener heating plates have a new Ceramic and Titanium micro-particle _ coating. Thanks to this technology, the plates are smoother and they guarantee per- ect glide to respect your hair even more. FEATURES - Use on dry or damp hair -Plates with. To straighten your hai +Prepare your hair for straigh- tening: wash your hair and untangle using a big tooth comb and then dry using a hairdryer. - Divide your hair into sections. Pin the upper sections with_ clips to work with the hair underneath. -Plug the BaByliss pro 230 Wet N' Dry straightener in and press the ON/OFF button. Wait à few minutes until the straightener has heated up. The frst time you use the unit, you might notice a little smoke and a particular odour: this is common and will disappear the next time you use the unit. + A green LED will light up, an indicator light for the _lowest temperature. +Select the desired temperature using the temperature selectors. A lower temperature is generally recommended for fine, bleached and/or damaged haï, and a higher temperature for_curly, thick and/or difficult to style hair. Since every hair type is unique, we recommend you use position 1 (green LED) the first time you use it. Progressively increase the temperature, if necessary, during the following uses. Use the table below as a guide: The LED ofthe selected temperature blinks until the temperature is reached, then it remains lighted during the whole using time.

To avoid any risk of burn from the steam, make sure you do not point the straighte- ners steam vents at your face, scalp or hands. +Press the straightener handles together, hold to keep the sec- tion between the plates and glide slowly from the roots to the tips. + Note! When you are straightening, you might hear some sizzling and see some steam. Do not be concemed this could be because of evaporation ofthe sebum, some re- sidual hair products (leave-in hair care, hairspray, etc.) or excess water that is evaporating from your hair. -Take up a new section of hair and continue until your hair is all Straight. + Repeat again if necessary, then release the straightener. - For perfect straightening, use the untangling comb, Your section of hair can be spread evenly in the straightener and be untangled easily. If you do not want to use the comb, you can remove it by sliding_it_off the straighteners. Wait until the unit has cooled completely before removing the comb. - If your roots are still a little damp or if you would like to produce more volume, bend forward and gentiy dry with a hairdryer. - Give your hair the final touch Set your straightened hair with à light misting of hairspray or a little mousse, but certainly do not brush your hair. -The pro 230 Wet N'Dry straighte- ner can also be used on dry hair. Follow the above instructions, To shape your hair The BaByliss pro 230 Wet N' Dry straightener may also be used to accent certain sections (fringe, tips turned in or out, etc.) and to lftthe roots. To lift the roots, take up a section and hold it straight out from the scalp, close the plates on the section and rotate the unit to the front to give the roots maximum volume. Hold for à few seconds, then gently straighten from the roots to the tips. To turn the tips under, use as des- cribed above but turn the unit under {as you would with a brush when blow drying). Keep in place for a few seconds then release. -Toturn our tips out, do the same,

but in the other direction. -After use, press the ON/OFF button and unplug the unit. -Allow the hot unit to cool on the heat-resistant mat provided. If the straightener remains on for over 1hr 15min, it turns off auto- matically.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

OF YOUR STRAIGHTENER

+ Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. -Clean the plates using a soft, damp cloth, without detergent, to preserve the optimal quality of the plates. Do not scratch the plates Store the straighteners with the plates pressed together to pro- tectthem.
