How to turn on the heater?

SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage

stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.

- Do not cover the air inlet or outlet during operation. Keep a minimum distance of 1 m between the device and other objects or walls.

- Do not place the appliance close to heat sources, flammable substances, wet surfaces or allow it to come into contact with water or other liquids.

- The product's surface will reach high temperatures during operation, use the handle to move it.

- If the appliance falls into water, do not touch it and unplug it immediately.

- Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.

- This product is designed only for household use.

- Do not use for industrial or commercial purposes.

- Do not allow the cord to come into contact with hot surfaces.

- Do not use the appliance to dry clothes and do not operate it without supervision.

- Do not introduce or allow objects to be introduced in the air inlet or outlet, this could cause risk of electrical shock, fire or damage.

- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or the part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

2. BEFORE USE

• Take the product out of the box and remove all packaging materials.
• Check for any visible damage. If any is observed, contact as soon as possible the Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice or reparation.
• Always place the device on a flat and stable surface.
• Turn the power level knob to the "0" position and plug the product's connector to an earthed power socket.

Turn the power level knob to set one of the operating modes: Fan, ECO heating, or High heating. The heater will run under the set mode until it is reset.

Thermostat

1. Turn the knob to select the maximum thermostat position.
2. Once the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob anticlockwise to turn the heater off.
3. The thermostat will turn on and off automatically to maintain the selected temperature.

Oscillation

The heater features oscillation function. The oscillation function can be activated by activating the oscillation switch. To deactivate it, press the switch again.

Tip-over safety system

The heater is designed to turn automatically off when tipped forward or backward. The unit will automatically turn on once it is returned to its normal upright position.

Protection against overheating system

1. The heater features a protection system that turns the appliance automatically off in case of overheating, for example, when the air inlet or outlet is partially or completely obstructed. If this happens, follow the below steps:
2. Unplug the appliance and wait for 30 minutes approx. until it cools down.
3. Clear the obstruction from the air outlet or inlet.
4. Turn it on again. The appliance should now work properly.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

– Turn off and unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
- Use a soft, dampened and clean cloth to clean the product's outer housing. Be careful not to touch the heating element.
- One of the most common causes of overheating is the building up of debris or fluff in the appliance. Make sure to clean it periodically and to vacuum the ventilation grilles.
- If the product is not going to be used for a long period of time, unplug it and store it in a dry and safe place where it is protected from dust.
- Do not disconnect the appliance from the plug, turn it off with the button to avoid it from overheating.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

• The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
• The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
• Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
