The unit is designated for indoor operation. The dehumidifier is safe. It has been approved by many safety institutions around the world. However, as with other electrical appliance, use it with care.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not clean the dehumidifier by spraying it or immersing it in water.
Do not insert any object into the opening of the dehumidifier.
Disconnect from the mains before cleaning the unit or any of its components.
Never connect to an electrical outlet using an extension cord. If an outlet is not available, one should be installed by a licenced electrician.
Any service other than regular cleaning or filter replacement should be performed by an authorized service representative. Failure to do so could

Your dehumidifier draws in air through the front panel onto a refrigerated cold grill. As the air passes over a cold surface, moisture condenses and collects into a front loading removable high capacity 3,5-litre water container. The drier, slightly warmer air is then expelled back into the room through the front upper grill. The dehumidifier fights condensation, mould and dampness throughout the house.
The first time that you use this dehumidifier please ensure that it has been standing for 24 hours in an upright position before it is switched on. Your dehumidifier will begin to protect your home from the harmful effects of excessive moisture as soon as it is turned on. Excessive moisture will travel throughout your home, in the same way that cooking smells spread to every room in the house. For this reason, the dehumidifier should be positioned in a central and clear location so that it can draw this moist air from all over the home. A warm hallway or landing is an excellent position for your dehumidifier. If possible, leave interior doors partly open. Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one area you can begin by positioning the dehumidifier close to this area and later moving it to a more central point. Do not place directly against a radiator or other heat source. For the most efficient use, outside doors and windows should be kept closed when the dehumidifier is operating. When positioning your dehumidifier, ensure that it is placed on a level surface clear of any obstacle that may limit the air movement. If you move the unit, it should first be switched off and the water tank emptied.
4 Water full indicator MAX 1 To set the humidity controller 2 to the required humidity level or ‘MAX’ for fig. 2 continuous working (see fig. 1). OFF 2 The intensity of the humidity extraction is increased clockwise (see fig. 2). 3 To turn off the unit, turn the switch to position ‘0’ (see fig. 3).
4 This dehumidifier features a twin speed fan. In normal conditions, set the speed to . For quieter operation, set the speed to (see fig. 4). IMPORTANT Remember not to use this dehumidifier in temperatures below 4°C.
EMPTYING THE WATER CONTAINER
When the water container is full the indicator light ( 4 ) will illuminate and the unit will automatically shut off. Wait a few minutes to allow the water to finish draining into the water container.
To remove the water container, disconnect from the mains, pull out and lift the fig. 5 water container by the handle and carry it away for emptying. Gently replace the container and close the lower front panel. When the tank is properly inserted, both the hole and the float mechanism in the container will be located directly beneath the drainage spout and the indicator light (4) will go out.
It may be more convenient to set up the dehumidifier for continuous drainage with the following procedure:
1 Remove the water cap from the rear cabinet. Connect a water tube of diameter 6 mm over the drainage spout (see fig. 5 and 6). 2 Pull out the water tank, put the water cap of the rear cabinet on the drain fig. 7
hole B found in the compartment (see fig. 7). 3 Ensure the water will always drain away freely and the hose will remain in place. fig. 8
4 Put back the water tank (see fig. 8). NOTE In very cold weather conditions precautions should be taken to prevent the drainage pipe from freezing. To return to water container use, take the spout out and replace the water container.
CLEANING Disconnect from the mains power supply. Clean regularly with a common, non abrasive, household detergent, without solvents. This dehumidifier is equipped with 2 filters:
Anti-dust filter Activated carbon filter (for capturing the particles of dust suspended in the air and preventing the production of bacteria that can create unpleasant odours) Anti-dust filter fig. 9 1 Extract the filter holder, remove the active carbon filter (see fig 9 and 11). 2 Use a vacuum cleaner or tap the filter lightly for easy cleaning. If the filter is particularly dirty, use warm water with a small amount of medium strength detergent (see fig. 10). fig. 10 3 Make sure the filter is completely dry before replacing. 4 Do not expose the filter to sunlight. Active carbon filter The active carbon filter placed under the antidust filter is not washable. Its life span is variable and depends on the ambient conditions where the unit is used. The filter should be checked periodically and replaced if necessary. fig. 11
