Frequently Asked Questions - WS 2303 ADE
How to install the outdoor sensors?
Mount the anemometer, rain gauge, and thermo-hygrometer in an open area, at least 1.5 m above ground. Insert the batteries, then pair them with the main unit following the pairing procedure described in the manual.
What to do if the outdoor data display remains '--'?
First check the sensor batteries. Make sure they are within range (less than 100 m) and no major metal obstacle is blocking the signal. Reset the pairing if necessary.
How to set the time and date?
Press and hold the 'SET' button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. Use the arrows to adjust year, month, day, hour, and minutes. Confirm with 'SET'.
Does the station display weather forecasts?
Yes, it uses atmospheric pressure to provide 12-24 hour forecasts: sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, or storm. The icon appears on the screen.
How to view minimum and maximum values?
Briefly press the 'MIN/MAX' button to scroll through temperature, humidity, and pressure records. Hold down to clear the memories.
Can I use an AC adapter instead of batteries?
Yes, the main unit can be powered via a 5V DC AC adapter (not included). Use only a compatible adapter to avoid damage.
How to clean the weather station?
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the screen and housing. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Avoid getting water into openings.
What do the wind and rain icons mean?
The arrow indicates wind direction. Speed is displayed in km/h or knots. Cumulative rainfall and hourly intensity are shown in mm. Refer to the manual for symbol details.
How to replace the sensor batteries?
Open the battery compartment of the relevant sensor. Replace with new batteries of the same type (AA or AAA depending on the sensor). Close carefully. The device will resynchronize automatically.
Is the sensor range sufficient for a two-story house?
The theoretical range is 100 m in open field. In a house, walls may reduce this distance. Place the main unit on the ground floor and the sensors outdoors, if possible within 30 m for a reliable connection.
