Frequently Asked Questions - DBGL1032CN ELECTROLUX
How to install the DBGL1032CN hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Attach the wall bracket above the hob, then hang the hood respecting safety distances (65 cm min. for electric hob, 75 cm for gas hob). Connect the power supply and the exhaust duct if necessary.
What is the difference between extraction and recirculation modes?
In extraction mode, air is expelled outside via a duct. In recirculation mode, air is filtered by a carbon filter then recirculated into the room. The DBGL1032CN hood can operate in both modes depending on your installation.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters can be washed in the dishwasher (short cycle at 65°C) or by hand with a degreasing solution. Let them dry completely before reinstalling. Clean them regularly (about every 2 months).
When should the carbon filter be replaced?
If the hood is used in recirculation mode, the carbon filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on usage. A saturation indicator may be present on some models.
Why is my hood noisy?
Noise can come from poor installation, clogged filters, or an exhaust duct that is too long. Check that all parts are firmly fixed and filters are clean. If noise persists, contact after-sales service.
How to adjust the suction speeds?
Use the push buttons on the front of the hood. The DBGL1032CN model has 3 speeds: the lowest for gentle cooking, the highest for intense odours. A 'boost' key may be available on some models.
What is the lighting power?
The hood is equipped with two LED bulbs of 3 W each, providing efficient and economical lighting. They are difficult to replace; contact a professional if they fail.
How to clean the exterior of the hood?
Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, or rough sponges that could scratch the surface. Dry with a clean cloth.
What is the warranty for the Electrolux DBGL1032CN hood?
Electrolux offers a manufacturer's warranty of 2 years from date of purchase. Keep your receipt. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damage due to poor installation or neglected maintenance.
Where can I get spare parts for my hood?
Spare parts (filters, bulbs, motor, etc.) are available from Electrolux after-sales service or specialized websites. Use the model number DBGL1032CN to identify compatible parts.
