Frequently Asked Questions - HAPY6CBS4BG HAIER

How do I install the Haier HAPY6CBS4BG range hood?
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. The hood requires a 150 mm duct for extraction mode. Ensure the electrical supply (220-240V) is properly grounded. Refer to the manual for mounting height (usually 65-75 cm above gas cooktop, 50-65 cm above electric).
How often should I clean the grease filter?
Clean the aluminum grease filter every 1-2 months. It is dishwasher safe. A clogged filter reduces performance and increases noise. Hand wash with mild detergent if not using dishwasher.
Can I use this hood in recirculation mode without ducting?
Yes, you can use it in recirculation mode by installing a charcoal (carbon) filter. This filter absorbs odors and must be replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage. The hood comes with ducting option; for recirculation, purchase a charcoal filter separately.
What is the maximum noise level of this hood?
The noise level ranges from 45 dB(A) on the lowest speed to 62 dB(A) on boost mode. Actual noise may vary slightly depending on installation and ducting.
How do I replace the LED lights?
The hood uses 1.5W LED lamps. To replace, disconnect power, remove the lamp cover, and pull out the faulty LED. Insert a new LED of the same type. If difficulties arise, contact Haier service.
What is the maximum extraction rate?
The maximum extraction rate is 600 m³/h (350 CFM) in boost mode. This is suitable for medium-sized kitchens. Regular speeds range from 200 to 400 m³/h.
Does the hood have a timer or auto shut-off?
Yes, it includes an auto shut-off feature that turns off the motor after a set time (usually 10-15 minutes) after the last button press. This helps save energy.
How do I operate the controls?
The hood has electronic push buttons. Common functions: power on/off, speed selection (1-3), boost mode, light on/off. Some models may have a remote control (check manual).
Is the grease filter dishwasher safe?
Yes, the aluminum grease filter can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Use a low temperature cycle (55°C max) and place it upright to avoid damage. Do not use harsh detergents.
What spare parts are available for this model?
Available spare parts include replacement grease filters, charcoal filters (for recirculation), LED lamps, control board, and motor. Contact Haier customer service or authorized dealers for genuine parts.
