Frequently Asked Questions - HATS6DCS56B HAIER

How do I install the Haier HATS6DCS56B cooker hood?
Installation should be done by a qualified professional. The hood must be mounted at least 65 cm above electric hobs and 75 cm above gas hobs. Ensure proper ducting for extraction mode or install charcoal filters for recirculation.
How often should I clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned every month for normal usage. You can wash it in a dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstalling.
Can I use the hood without ducting?
Yes, you can use the hood in recirculation mode. You will need to install charcoal filters (purchased separately) to absorb odors. The filters should be replaced every 3-6 months.
What type of light bulbs does the hood use?
The hood uses LED bulbs (1.5 W each). They are integrated and should be replaced by a technician if faulty. Do not attempt to replace them yourself.
How loud is the Haier HATS6DCS56B?
The noise level reaches up to 65 dB(A) at maximum speed. At lower speeds, it is quieter, making it suitable for open-plan kitchens.
What is the warranty period for this hood?

How do I access the user manual?
The user manual is available for free download on notice-facile.com or the Haier official website. You can also request a printed copy from customer service.
What should I do if the hood stops working?
First, check the power supply and circuit breaker. If it still doesn't work, try resetting the hood by turning it off for a few minutes. If the issue persists, contact Haier customer service for technical support.
Can I wash the charcoal filter?
No, charcoal filters cannot be washed. They must be replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage. Washing them will damage the carbon and reduce effectiveness.
Is the hood suitable for a gas stove?
Yes, but ensure the distance between the hood and the gas hobs is at least 75 cm. Follow the installation guidelines to prevent fire hazards and ensure proper ventilation.

OPERATION

STANDBY MODE.

After plugging in, all lighting and the system are in STANDBY MODE.

1 Low Speed button

It is used for ventilation in the kitchen. It is suitable for simmering and cooking that do not produce much steam.

2 Medium Speed button

The airflow speed is ideal for ventilation during standard cooking operations.

3 High Speed button

When high density of smoke or steam is produced, press the high-speed button for effective ventilation.

B Booster function

This hood has a booster function. To activate the booster, press

B to speed 4, entering the highest speed while the hood is in use. It will increase speed for 5 minutes before slowing down again.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning switch the unit off and pull out the plug.

I. Regular Cleaning

Use a soft cloth moistened with hand-warm mildly soapy water or household cleaning detergent. Never use metal pads, chemical, abrasive material or stiff brush to clean the unit.

II. Monthly Cleaning for Grease Filter

ESSENTIAL: Clean the filter every month can prevent any risk of fire.

The filter collects grease, smoke and dust..... so the filter is directly affecting the efficiency of the cooker hood. If not cleaned, the grease residue (potential flammable) will saturate on the filter. Clean it with household cleaning detergent.

III. Annual Cleaning for Activated Carbon Filter

Apply SOLELY to unit that installed as a recirculation unit (not vented to the outside). This filter traps odors and must be replaced at least once a year

depending on how frequent the cooker hood used.

IV. Changing a light bulb

Remove the screws on the glass, take off the hood glass. Find the bulb that requires replacement, you will find it located in the light fixture which is inside the exposed section of the canopy.

Pure technical diagram showing a mechanical or electrical component with downward arrows indicating force or direction (no text or symbols)

Disconnect the light wiring point and remove the bulb holders and wiring from the hood. Important: It's not possible to replace the bulbs individually, it will be necessary to obtain the bulbs, bulb holders and wiring as a complete part. (LED light: MAX 1.5W)

Fit the replacement bulbs, bulb holders and wiring in the same manners as the originals. Then reconnect the light wiring point.

Refit the hood glass and fasten the glass screws. Make sure the screws are fully tightened.
