Thank you for your purchase of this large digit clock radio with projection. Please read these instructions carefully and keep the manual for future reference.

INSTALLATION

Plug in the AC/DC adaptor to an AC household outlet, and then plug the DC jack to the back of the unit. Your unit is ready to work for you.

BACKUP BATTERY INSTALLATION

Your clock requires 2 x new AAA batteries (not included) to provide backup power to it in the event of a temporary power interruption.

  1. Place your clock face down on a flat and soft surface.
  2. Slide and remove the battery cover at the back of your unit.
  3. Insert 2 x new AAA batteries into the battery compartment by observing the correct "+" and "-" polarity.
  4. Slide and replace the battery cover.

Remarks:

• Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended for optimal usage of this clock. If the unit is not to be used for a prolonged period, such as a month or longer, remove the batteries to prevent possible corrosion. Should the battery compartment become corroded or dirty, clean the compartment thoroughly and replace the batteries.

If AC power is interrupted and backup batteries are being used: the projection, radio, always-on backlight function will disable. The time and all settings of your unit will be kept and wake-to-radio alarm will be replaced by wake-to-buzzer alarm.

TO SET TIME, 12/24-HR TIME, CALENDAR AND SNOOZE DURATION

  1. Press and hold SET/ AL SET, the hour digits flash. Press on to set the hours. Press and hold ▲ or ▼ will accelerate setting at high speed.
  2. Press SET/ AL SET once again, the minute digits flash. Press or to set the minutes. Press and hold ▲ or ▼ will accelerate setting at high speed.
  3. Press SET / AL SET once again: 24Hr flash, press to select 12Hr 24Hr. In 12Hr mode, PM will appear on the display to indicate afternoon time. There is no AM indicator.
  4. Press SET/ AL SET once again, the year 2015 flash. Press on to set to the current year.
  5. Press SET/ AL SET once again, the month digits flash. Press or to set to the current month.
  6. Press SET/ AL SET once again, the date digits flash. Press or ▲ t▼set to the current date.
  7. Press SET/ AL SET once again, 05 flash. Press or to set the snooze duration (from 5 min to 60 min.).
  8. Press SET/ AL SET again to complete set-up. If no key is pressed in approximate 10 seconds at any time during set-up, the clock will exit the set-up mode. Remark: the calendar must be set correctly to current date / month / year to enable the weekdays / weekends alarm work properly.

TO SET ALARM 1

  1. At normal time display, press SET / AL SET once, default alarm time 6:00 and A1 appear.
  2. Press and hold SET/AL SET until the hour digits flash. Press or to set the desired hour. Press and hold ▲ or ▼ to accelerate setting at high speed. PM will appear on the display to indicate afternoon time if 12-Hr format is selected. There is no AM indicator.
  3. Press SET/AL SET once again, the minute digits flash. Press or to set desired minutes. Press and hold ▲ or ▼ to accelerate setting at high speed.
  4. Press SET/AL SET once again, LCD displays "bu" (buzzer), Press or ▲ to ▼ elect the wake-up sound sources :-

bu = Buzzer

rd = Radio

  1. Press SET/AL SET once again, "1-7" flashes, Press ▲ or ▼ to select "6-7" or "1-5" or "1-1". 1-5 = Monday to Friday (alarm by working day) 6-7 = Saturday and Sunday (alarm by weekend). 1-7 = Monday to Sunday (alarm by weekly). 1-1 = alarm by single day, after stopped the alarm, user need press AL 1.2/ON.OFF once to re-active another single day alarm.
  2. Press SET/AL SET again to complete set-up. If no key is pressed in approximate 10 seconds at any time during set-up, the clock will exit the alarm set-up mode.

TO SET ALARM 2

At normal time display, press SET/AL SET twice, default alarm time 6:00 and A2 appear, and reference alarm setting procedure for the rest operation.

TO TURN ON / OFF ALARM 1 AND 2

  1. Press AL 1.2/ON.OFF once to activate Alarm 1, 📋 appears.
  2. Press once again to activate Alarm 2, ② appears.
  3. Press once again to activate both Alarm 1 and 2. Both 📁 and 🔒 appear.
  4. Press once again to deactivate both alarms; icons disappear.

TO STOP AND RESET THE ALARM TO COME ON THE NEXT DAY

When alarm 1 or 2 is sounding, the related alarm icon flashes. Press the AL 1.2/ON.OFF once to stop the alarm and reset it to come on the following day. After that both 📋 and/or 🌐 remain on the display. The alarm volume will increase gradually in 3 levels.

TO ACTIVATE THE SNOOZE FUNCTION (default snooze duration is 5 minutes)

When alarm is sounding, press z1 · 0 once, the alarm will be silenced and come on again after the set snooze duration.

Note: if your second alarm activates while the first alarm is sounding or it is in the snooze mode, the second alarm

overrides the first alarm (the first alarm is reset to come on the next day).

TO SET UP THE FM ANTENNA

Extend the FM wire antenna fully and vary the direction for best FM reception. Do not strip, alter or attach to other antennas.

TO LISTEN TO THE FM RADIO

  1. To turn on the radio, press RADIO/SLEEP once, the display shows "rd" and then the radio frequency readings "87.5" in MHz.
  2. Press ▲/▼ to tune the radio to a desired station. Press and hold ▲ to scan for the next clear station.
  3. To adjust the volume, press VOL once. The display shows "L10". Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the volume from L00 (no sound) to L15 (maximum). Press VOL to store the volume setting.
  4. Press Z• once to turn off the radio.

Remark: Keep your radio away from fluorescent lamps or other electronic devices, which may cause interference to the radio. For better reception, try moving the unit near a window or adjust the antenna for a better signal.

TO USE THE PRESET MEMORY OF RADIO

This clock radio features a total of 10 preset memories for FM stations. These allow you to preset your favorite stations and access them quickly.

  1. Turn on the radio and select a radio station you like to memorize.
  2. Press and hold SET until "MEM" appears and "01" flashes. Press SET/AL SET once to store Memory 1.
  3. Press ▲ or ▼ to select another station you like to memorize. Then press and hold SET/AL SET until "MEM" appears and "01" flashes. Press ▲ or ▼ to select "02", then press SET/AL SET once to store Memory 02.
  4. Repeat Steps 2 to 3 to preset memories 3 through 10.
  5. To access a preset station at any time, press SET/AL SET once while the radio is on.
  6. To edit a preset station, select another station and then repeat Steps 2 to 4. This overrides the original settings.

TO USE THE SLEEP TIMER

  1. When the radio is playing, press and hold RADIO/SLEEP to enter sleep mode. The SLEEP indicator and the sleep time "05" (5 minutes) appear on the display.
  2. Press RADIO/SLEEP again as needed to adjust the sleep timer from 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 120, or OFF.
  3. When the display reverts to time display, press and hold RADIO/SLEEP once to show the sleep time remaining.
  4. The radio will remain active for the programmed sleep time and then shut off automatically.
  5. To turn off the radio before the sleep time has elapsed, press zz · once.

TO USE THE PROJECTION (operated with the AC/DC adaptor only)

  1. Press once to turn on the projection.
  2. Press ▶ once again to activate auto scrolling function to view the current Indoor temperature (rounded to the nearest digit) and the current time for 5 seconds alternately. Press ▼/C/F to select degree Celsius or degree Fahrenheit temperature readout in projection view.
  3. Press once again to turn off the projection.
  4. When the projection is on, press and hold ☑ to flip the projection view upside down. At the right side of the projector, use the rotary knob to rotate the projected time by around 90 degrees.

TO USE THE HI-LO-OFF DIMMER OF THE LCD BACKLIGHT

Simply press Zz• once to adjust the brightness (Hi/Lo/Off) of the LCD backlight. This can only be done when the adaptor is being used to power the clock radio.

Remarks: if only the backup batteries are being used to power the clock radio, press once to activate the backlight for 5 seconds and then it will go off again.

TO USE AUTO DIM BACKLIGHT

You can program your clock radio to automatically dim down the backlight for 5-12 hours everyday.

  1. At normal time display mode, press and hold zz · , until the display shows and "OFF" flashes. Press or to select "ON" to activate the auto dim backlight function.
  2. Pressz once, "0:00" flash, press ▲ or ▼ to set auto dim starting hours.
  3. Pressz once, 9Hr flash, press ▲ or ▼ to set auto dim duration from 5Hr to 12Hr.
  4. Press Zr• once to complete the setting. ✿ remains static on the LCD display. If no key is pressed for approximately 10 seconds at any time during set-up, the clock radio will revert to normal time display.

Remarks:

  1. When the auto dim function is activated, pressing the button can select the backlight manually. The auto dim function will be activated automatically again at the same time the next day.
  2. The Auto Dim function only works when the AC/DC adaptor is being used to power your clock radio. It does not work when it is powered by the backup batteries only.
  3. To completely turn off the Auto Dim function, repeat Step 1 above and select OFF. The icon disappears on the LCD.

TO DISPLAY TEMPERATURE IN DEGREE °C OR °F

Simply press / C/F to display temperature in degree °C or in degree °F.

TO CHARGE MOBILE PHONE WITH THE USB PORT (5V/1A)

Connect the charging cable of your mobile phone to the A-type USB port at the back of the unit, then connect the other end to your mobile phone. The clock radio will charge the mobile phone automatically.

Remarks:

  1. Make sure to use the original charging cable of your mobile phone for charging.
  2. Make sure the original adaptor enclosed with your clock radio (5V 1.2A) is being used to power your clock radio. Using other adaptors may not charge your phone.
  3. iPad and Notepad charging is not applicable.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your clock displays irrelevant time or does not function properly, which may be caused by electro-static discharge or other interference, unplug the DC jack at the back of the unit, slide open the battery cover, and take out the batteries. Then re-plug the DC jack and reinstall the batteries by observing the correct +/- polarity. Your unit will be reset to default settings and you will need to set it again.
