How do I turn on the SilverCrest SRNH 100 A2 heated blanket?

Connect the controller to the blanket and plug into a power outlet. Press the power button on the controller, then select a heat level using the +/- buttons.

What are the heat settings and how do they work?

The blanket has 6 heat levels. Level 1 is the lowest, level 6 is the highest. Use the +/- buttons to adjust. The controller displays the current level.

Can I wash the heated blanket?

While the blanket has safety features like overheat protection and auto shut-off, it is recommended not to leave it unattended for extended periods. Turn off before sleeping if possible.

This heating pad is intended for applying heat to the human body. It can be used to apply heat to specific areas. This heating pad is not suitable for use in hospitals or for any other commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons,

SHOCK! The heating pad must be regularly checked for signs of wear or damage. If signs of wear or damage are detected or if the heating pad has been used improperly, you must cease using the heating pad and return it to your dealer or to his customer service centre. WARNING! If the mains power cable of this heating pad is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer or its service department or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. Risk of injury.

Children or anyone lacking the knowledge or experience to use the heating pad, or anyone with restricted physical, sensory or mental capacities, must not use the heating pad without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be

supervised to ensure that they do not play with the heating pad. Risk of injury.

RISK OF INJURY FROM

BURNS! Do not use this heating pad for helpless persons, infants or persons who are insensitive to heat (e.g. diabetics, people with disease-related changes to the skin or scarred skin in the area of use, or after taking pain-relieving medication or consuming alcohol). There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

RISK OF INJURY FROM

BURNS! This heating pad must not be used by children unless the control 1 has been preset by a parent or other responsible person, or unless the child has been instructed sufficiently in how to use this heating pad safely. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

CAUTION! Take care that you do not fall asleep while the heating pad is in operation. Excessively long use can cause skin burns.

Do not use the heating pad on any part of the body that is inflamed, injured or swollen. Seek medical advice before using the heating pad if in doubt. Such inflammation, injuries and / or swelling may otherwise worsen.
■ Repairs must only be carried out by specially trained personnel or at a repair shop authorised by the manufacturer, since special tools are necessary. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.

Avoid damage to the heating pad!

■ Please ensure that you:

• only connect the heating pad to the voltage indicated on the heating pad (label),
• only use the heating pad in conjunction with the control unit 1 indicated on the heating pad (label),
• do not operate the heating pad without supervision,
  do not switch the heating pad on if it is folded or bunched up,
• do not cause any sharp creases in the heating pad,
• do not place any objects, e.g. suitcase or washing basket, on the heating pad when it is switched on,
• do not place any sources of heat, e.g. hot water bottle or similar, on the heating pad when it is switched on.

These may all damage the heating pad.

Do not cover the control 1 and do not place it on the heating pad when the pad is in operation. The electronic components in the control 1 of the heating pad cause the control 1 to heat up slightly during operation.
- Do not pull, twist or crease the cables. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.

●Safetysystem

Note: the heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches the heating pad off automatically due to a fault, then the function display 2 on the control unit 1 is no longer illuminated, even if the heating pad is switched on.

☐ Please note that, for safety reasons, the heating pad must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.

● Preparing the product for use

Note: the heating pad may smell of plastic the first time you use it, but this will disappear after a short period of time.

☐ To begin, first connect the control 1 to the heating pad with the plug-in connector 3 (see fig. B).
☐ Position the heating pad on your back so that the fastener for the neck section is in the throat area.
☐ Then close the fastener.
☐ Then adjust the length of the belt around your stomach and fit the two ends of the connector together (see Fig. C) to fasten the belt.
☐ To open the belt, press the two catches on the connector at the same time (see Fig. C).

- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature

Switching on:

☐ Set Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 on the control ☐ to switch the heating pad on.

Note: The function display 2 illuminates after the heating pad is switched on.

Note: this heating pad features rapid heating, which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes of operation.

Switching off:

☐ Set Level 0 on the control ☐ to switch the heating pad off.

Note: the function display 2 ceases to illuminate.

Selecting the temperature:

☐ Just before using the heating pad, set it to the highest temperature setting (level 6). This will cause the heating pad to warm up quickly.
☐ If you wish to leave the heated pad on for several hours, set the lowest temperature (level 1).

Preparing the product for use / Cleaning and Care

Note: The heating pad switches itself off automatically after about 90 minutes. The function display 2 then starts to flash.

☐ Then select the setting „0“ and after about 5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired temperature setting to switch it on again.
☐ Switch the heating pad off (setting „0“) if the heating pad is not to be used after it has switched itself off automatically.
