Frequently Asked Questions - SWUB 85 D2 SILVERCREST

How should I wash the heated blanket?
Detach the controller first. Machine wash the blanket at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.
Can I leave the blanket on all night?
It is not recommended to leave the blanket on all night without supervision. The blanket has an automatic shut-off feature that turns it off after 3 hours (adjustable). For safety, use the timer and do not sleep with the blanket on high settings.
What do the heat settings mean?
The blanket has 6 heat levels, with 1 being the lowest and 6 the highest. You can adjust via the digital controller to find your preferred comfort level.
Is the blanket safe for people with pacemakers or medical implants?
The blanket produces low electromagnetic fields. However, if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, consult your doctor before use. Generally, it is considered safe for most users.
How do I attach the controller to the blanket?
Align the connector on the controller with the socket on the blanket (usually at one corner). Push firmly until it clicks into place. To detach, press the release button and pull apart.
The blanket does not heat up. What can I do?
First, ensure the controller is properly connected and the power plug is inserted. Check that the main power switch on the controller is turned on. If it still does not heat, try a different power outlet. If the problem persists, contact SilverCrest customer service.
Is the blanket suitable for children?
The blanket is not designed for very young children (under 3 years). For older children, use only under adult supervision and avoid high heat settings for prolonged periods.
Can I fold the blanket while it is turned on?
No, folding the blanket while in use can overheat the internal wires and cause a fire hazard. Always lay the blanket flat or draped loosely when powered on.
What is the warranty period and what does it cover?
The blanket comes with a 3-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised repairs, or normal wear and tear. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Does the blanket have an automatic shut-off?
Yes, the blanket features an automatic shut-off timer that can be set for up to 12 hours (default 3 hours). This helps prevent overheating and saves energy.
