3. IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

• Read this manual and keep it for later consultations and in this way you will prevent damage or danger from incorrect use. If you pass this device on to another person, make sure you also include this manual.
• Before using the device, check that the voltage of the household grid corresponds to the one indicated on the device.
• After unpacking it, check that the device is in good condition.
• All packaging material, such as plastic bags, must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not use this device with wet hands.
• Do not use it in the bath or in the shower, or in rooms

with a damp atmosphere, or close to or over liquids (over a washbasin or a bath, for example). Make sure the device does not come into contact with water when cleaning it. Do not submerge the device in water. Make sure the device is unplugged when it is not in use. Unplug the device: - If it is not working properly - Before cleaning it - After use Unplug the device and leave it to cool off completely before cleaning it and putting it away. Do not pull the cable. Do not roll the cable around the device Do not use the device if: - The cable is damaged - The device appears to be damaged - The device has been dropped The device must only be used on dry hair. Do not use on artificial hair. CAUTION! Avoid all contact between the hot plates and the skin and they could burn Keep the plates away from sensitive areas such as the face and neck. For a safe use, wrap a towel around the neck. Take special care when using the device close to children or people who are insensitive to heat because they could be burned without realising it. Do not leave the device within the reach of children since they are not aware of the risk involved in using an electrical appliance. • People with nervous disorders should not use the straightening irons on their own, to avoid any possible risks.
• Do not leave the straightening irons unattended when they are plugged in, even for a short time, because they are potentially dangerous.
• Do not use the device together with a hair spray or tonic or any other chemical product because they could contain flammable substances.
• Installing a circuit breaker protection device offers added safety, ensuring that 30 mA of its electrical installation are not exceeded. Follow your installer’s indications.
• Do not leave the device on surfaces that are - hot. - not heat resistant. - soft or padded such as a cushion or a blanket
• If the connection cable is damaged, it must only be replaced by a technical service authorised by the manufacturer.
• This device is for household use and it must not be used for a purpose other than the one described in this manual. Do not use the straightening irons for any action other than straightening hair.
• The pilot light does not exceed the laser class 1 in accordance with IEC 825-1.
• Waste removal: When you decide to take the device out of use, making it unusable and to get rid of it, the suitable waste removal procedure must be followed. For more information on this subject, contact the local authorities.

4. OPERATION (PPV-20)

This device has an automatic steam output function that makes the device give off steam when it reaches the right temperature. Filling of the tank The removable water tank is on the top of the device. Turn the device off and let it cool off. Press the unhooking buttons and remove the tank Turn the fuse holder 90º anti-clockwise and remove it from the tank. Fill the tank up to the filling hole. Place the fuse holder in the hole and turn it clockwise until it reaches its limit. Dry the tank and put it back in position on the device. Only use tap water to fill the tank. The straightening irons may be also be used without the steam function. Turning it on Place the device on a flat, heat-resistant surface and connect it to the mains. Move the switch to position I. After 5 to 7 minutes, the device will reach the correct temperature to work; this is the most suitable temperature for the hair and it remains constant. The pilot light remains on while the device is plugged in and the plates are heating up.

• Wash your hair and dry it well. Your hair must be clean and completely dry before using the straightening irons.
• Fine hair reacts particularly quickly to the treatment. Continuous use on permed hair is not recommended.
• Wrap a towel around your neck to protect yourself against the heat.
• Brush your hair to remove any tangles. Comb your hair out straight.
• Work your hair layer by layer, using clips to hold the layers you are not working on. Straighten the bottom layers before the top ones.
• Divide the hair up into sections and work section by section. Put a section between the plates, close the straightening irons and slide it from the roots to the ends.
• The width of a section (from side to side) should not exceed two thirds of the length of the plates. It must not be more than 5 mm thick.
• Do not use force, the straightening irons must hold the hair gently, not pressing it.
• Do not leave the straightening irons still in the same place for more than 2 seconds.
• Let the straightened hair cool down before brushing.

• Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool off completely.
• Clean your hair straightening irons and the plates after each use. Clean all the surfaces with a soft cloth.
• Do not use abrasive or dissolvent cleaning agents. Do not submerge the device in water.
• Caution: danger of fire. Do not use petrol, alcohol or corrosive cleaning agents.
