Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water and never allow moisture to get in contact with these parts. Wipe the outside of the body with a damp cloth or cleaner. Never use a toxic cleaner. Remember to clean the filter on a regular basis. For easier cleaning, detach the filter by pressing it down directly. Then replace it after cleaning.
DEPOSITS Your kettle should be periodically descaled, as the mineral deposits in tap water may form scale on the bottom of the kettle and cause a less efficient operation. You can use any commercially available descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of the descaler. Alternatively, you may follow the instructions below and use white vinegar.
Fill the appliance 3/4 full, boil, then unplug the appliance (remove the cordless kettle from the base unit) and stand it in an empty sink or bowl. Gradually add 50ml of white vinegar to the water. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
Discard the mixture in the kettle, fill the kettle with clean water, boil and then discard the water. Repeat several times until the smell of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing it with a damp cloth.
