USER MANUAL PP12WH BLAUPUNKT
To achieve the utmost in enjoyment and performance, and in order to become familiar with its features, please read this manual carefully before attempting to operate this product. This will assure you years of trouble-free performance and listening pleasure.
• This safety and operating instruction should be retained for future reference. - The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing or placed in a humid atmosphere such as a bathroom.
○ Do not install the product in the following areas:
○ Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to radiators.
○ On top of other stereo equipment that radiate too much heat.
○ Blocking ventilation or in a dusty area.
○ Areas where there is constant vibration.
○ Humid or moist places.
- Do not place near candles or other naked flames.
- Operate the product only as instructed in this manual.
- Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected.
For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- Power sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
- Grounding or polarization - the product is not required to be grounded. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet or extension cord receptacle to prevent blade or pin exposure. Some versions of the product are equipped with a power cord fitted with a polarized alternating line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit onto the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. - Power cord protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on, kinked or pinched by items placed on or against them, paying particular attention to cords from plugs, receptacles and the point where they exit from the product.
- Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or multiple sockets, as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
- Ventilation - The product must be properly ventilated. Do not place the product on a bed, sofa, or other similar surface. Do not cover the product with any items such as tablecloths, newspapers, etc.
- Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products, including amplifiers that produce heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
- Water and moisture - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).
- Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.
- Cleaning - Unplug the product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Dust in the woofer may be cleaned with a dry cloth. If you wish to use an aerosol cleaning spray, do not spray directly on the cabinet; spray onto the cloth. Be careful not to damage the drive units.
- Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer, as they may cause hazards.
- Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer's instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
- Moving the product - A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.
- Unused periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet during lightning storms or when the apparatus is left unused for a long period of time.
- Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Please remove the power plug from the main power source or wall power source when not in use. When plugged in to a power source, the system is in standby mode, so the power is not entirely cut off.
- Replacement parts - When replacement parts are required, ensure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.
- Mains fuses - For continued protection against fire hazard, use fuses only of the correct type and rating. The correct fuse specification for each voltage range is marked on the product.
- Do not turn up the volume while listening to a section with very low level inputs or no audio signals. If you do, the speaker may be damaged when a peak level section is suddenly played.
- The only means of completely disconnecting the product from the power supply is by removing the power cord from the wall outlet or the product. The wall outlet or the power cord entry to the product must remain freely accessible at all times while the product is in use.
- Install the product near a wall socket or extension cord, and ensure it is easily accessible.
- The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C.
- ESD hints: The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong electromagnetic interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. If the function does not resume, use the product in another location.
28. Battery
1) The batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
2) The batteries should be disposed of with consideration for the environment.
3) Battery usage caution: To prevent battery leakage that may result in bodily injury, property damage, or damage to the apparatus:
- Install all batteries correctly, matching the + and - marks on the apparatus.
- Do not mix batteries (old and new, or carbon and alkaline, etc.).
- Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long time.

- The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on the apparatus.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this equipment to hot places, rain, moisture or dust.
- Do not locate this unit near any water sources e.g. taps, bathtubs, washing machines or swimming pools. Ensure that you place the unit on a dry, stable surface.
- Do not place this unit close to a strong magnetic field.
- Do not place the unit on an amplifier or receiver.
- Do not place this unit in a damp area as the moisture will affect the life of electric components.
- If the clock is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates.
- Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.

This product with ECO design complies with the stage 2 requirement of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regarding standby and off mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment. After 60 minutes without any audio input, the device will automatically switch into standby mode.
Please note that low volume setting in the audio source may be recognized as "no audio signal." This will affect the capability of signal detection from the device and can also originate an automatic switch into standby mode. If this happens, please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting on the audio source player (mp3 player, etc.) in order to resume playback. Please contact the local service center if the problem remains.
LOCATION OF CONTROL

CONTROL LOCATION

Press it to set up 12/24 hours format time.
Press it to save current FM station.
Press it for play or pause in USB/Micro SD card playback mode.
Press and hold it for 3 seconds, the unit will auto scan and save the available stations in FM mode.

Press it to switch the preset FM station in radio mode.
Press it to select the last and next track in USB/Micro SD card playback mode.

Short press it to manually tune the FM radio frequency step by step.
Press and hold it for 3 seconds to auto scan the available FM stations in downward or upward frequency.
Press it to get 10 +/- tracks fast selection in USB/Micro SD card playback mode.

DC operation (Battery power Supply)
Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT door. Install 3pcs type R14, UM-2 or "C"
size batteries (not included) into compartment. Please follow correct polarities as indicated.
NOTE: when using battery, take off the AC cable from unit.
CAUTION:
Remove batteries if they are flat or not being used for a long period of time.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.
AC operation (Main power Supply)
Plug the tail of supplied AC power cord into AC socket on unit and the plug another end into household AC outlet.
To disconnect the set from the mains completely, withdraw the mains plug from the wall socket.
Unit on/off
After set up the DC or AC power ready, press the POWER button to standby power on or off the unit.
Volume
Press VOLUME + or VOLUME - button can increase or decrease the volume in playing mode.
Setting The Time
- When the unit is in standby mode(power off), press the TIME SET button for 3 seconds on the front panel to start time setting.
- Press NEXT( ) button switch and select 12-hours/24-hours time format.
- Press TIME SET button on the front panel to start hour setting, press PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT( ) to adjust the hours while the display is flashing.
- Press TIME SET again to confirm the hour setting and start to set up the minutes, press PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT( ) button to adjust the minutes while the display is flashing.
- Press TIME SET button again to complete the time setting.
Setting The Alarm
- On standby mode, press ALARM button for 3 seconds on the front panel to start alarm setting.
- To adjust the hours, press PREVIOUS (◀◀) or NEXT (▶▶) button while the display is flashing.
- Press ALARM button again to confirm the hour setting and start to set up minute.
- Press PREVIOUS (◀) or NEXT (▶) button to adjust the minute setting.
- Press ALARM button again to confirm the minute setting and start to select the alarm source. Press PREVIOUS (◀◀) or NEXT (▶▶) button to switch the alarm source between Bazz, Radio and USB.
- Press ALARM button again to confirm the alarm source selection and start the alarm volume setting. Press PREVIOUS (◀) or NEXT (▶) button to switch the alarm volume between 05~25 level.
- Press ALARM button again to complete the alarm setting, and an alarm clock icon will show on display which means the alarm was set up successfully.
Remark:
a. In standby mode, press ALARM button can activate or close the alarm function. Please make sure the alarm clock icon is on display after alarm setting, which means the alarm function is available now. b. When the alarm sound is ringing, you can press any button to cancel the alarm sound. And the alarm sound will ring again at the same time the next day. c. Please kindly note the alarm function is only available when the unit connects with AC/DC power. Please check the alarm setting again in case you remove the AC/DC power and reconnect power source. d. Please kindly note the alarm sound will ring for 30 minutes and turn off automatically in case there is no further operation.
Snooze Function
- When your alarm sounds, you can press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button to turn off the alarm and activate the snooze function. The alarm sound will ring again after 9 minutes. Press any other button (except SNOOZE/SLEEP button) can cancel the SNOOZE function; press SNOOZE/SLEEP button again, you will get another 9 minutes snooze time for sleeping.
Sleep Function
- In playing mode, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button in recycle to select unit sleep time between off/15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 minutes. For example, when you select 15 minutes, the radio turns off automatically after 15 minutes.
- To turn off the radio at any time, press the POWER button.
Radio
- Press POWER button to switch on the unit.
- Press the SOURCE button once or more to switch to FM Radio mode.
- The display shows the radio station details throughout the radio mode.
- Select your station by using TUNING + or TUNING -
- Adjust the sound with the VOLUME button.
- To switch off the radio, press the POWER button once.
Tuning
Manual tuning
Press the TUNING + or TUNING – button briefly; the radio frequency will increase or decrease by 0.1 MHz in upward or downward steps.
Automatic tuning
Press and hold the TUNING + or TUNING – button for 3 seconds; the unit will auto-scan for available stations in the upward or downward frequency direction, and will stop and play the available station.
Preset
- Tune to your desired station (See TUNING).
- Press the PROG button once to enter programming mode.
- Press the PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) button to select the desired memory location.
- Press the PROG button once again to confirm and save the selected station.
- Press the PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) button to select the preset station you want to listen to.
All-in-one (auto tune and preset): Press and hold the PROG button for 3 seconds; the radio will automatically scan and save available stations. The unit can store up to 50 preset stations.
To improve reception:
Fully extend the telescopic antenna or adjust its direction for better reception. You can also place the unit near a window to get a stronger radio signal.
USB AND MICRO SD CARD PLAYBACK
The unit can decode and play all MP3 music files stored on a USB drive or Micro SD card.
- Before starting USB/Micro SD card playback, copy the MP3 music files you want to play onto your USB drive or Micro SD card.
- Plug the USB drive into the USB port or insert the Micro SD card into the SD card slot. Press the SOURCE button to switch to USB or SD MP3 playback mode. The unit will automatically read the MP3 files from the device and start playing music.
- During playback, you can briefly press the PREVIOUS, NEXT, PLAY, or PAUSE buttons to use their respective functions.
- In USB or Micro SD card playback mode, press the TUNING - or TUNING + button to quickly skip forward or backward by 10 tracks.
- Press and hold the PREVIOUS (◀◀) or NEXT (▶) button to fast-forward or fast-rewind during playback.
Notes:
- Before connecting a USB device to the unit, make sure the connector is oriented correctly and is fully inserted. Insert the Micro SD card straight in without bending. Connecting a USB device or inserting a Micro SD card upside down could damage the unit or the storage media. A locked Micro SD card cannot be detected or played.
- Some USB drives require a minimum voltage to be read and played. If the unit cannot read music in DC (battery) mode, it may be due to weak power. Try again after replacing the batteries with fresh ones. If the problem persists, contact your local service center.
- Using an extension cable for USB connection and playback is not recommended, as it may cause intermittent sound output due to signal loss during data transfer.
- The USB/MICRO SD CARD playback is only available when a USB or MICRO SD CARD device has been plugged into the unit.
- The unit can only support storage devices up to 32 GB maximum.
AUX IN (MP3 LINK)
The unit includes an AUX IN jack which allows you to play music from an external player (like an MP3 player, etc.) by connecting a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included). You can select and play music from your player, and the sound will be output through the radio.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
- The display cannot light on.
Answer: please check if the AC power was connected with power source properly.
Please check if the battery power was installed properly.
Pease contact local service center for support.
- The FM radio has big background noise.
Answer: Please move the unit next to the window for better reception.
Please try to adjust the direction of telescope antenna
Please try to switch into other radio station
- The output sound is intermittent.
Answer: Please check if the battery power is too weak, and replace it with fresh one.
