Frequently Asked Questions - XF 3000 PRO Trevi

How to install the Trevi XF 3000 PRO receiver?
Connect the LNB cable to the ANT IN input, then plug in the mains adapter. Connect the HDMI output to your TV. Turn on the receiver and follow the installation wizard to set the language, satellite, and start automatic channel search.
How to perform a channel search?
From the main menu, select 'Installation' then 'Automatic search'. Choose the satellite (e.g. Hot Bird 13°E) and search type (all channels). Confirm to start the search. Found channels will be automatically saved.
How to update the receiver software?
Download the update file (.bin) from the Trevi website onto a USB stick formatted in FAT32. Insert the stick into the receiver's USB port. Go to 'Menu > Installation > USB update' and select the file. Do not turn off the power during the update.
How to record a program on a USB stick?
Connect a USB stick (or external hard drive) formatted in FAT32 or NTFS. In live mode, press the 'REC' button on the remote. For scheduling, use the 'Timer' function in the menu and set the date, time, duration, and channel.
What to do if the receiver finds no channels?
Check that the LNB cable is properly connected and the antenna is aimed at the correct satellite. Make sure the 'LNB type' setting matches your installation (usually 'Universal' 9750/10600). Restart an automatic search after checking these points.
How to use parental control?
Go to 'Menu > Installation > Parental control'. Enter a 4-digit PIN code (default 0000). You can then lock channels or programs according to their classification (e.g. 18+). To watch a locked program, the code will be requested.
Can I use the receiver with an external hard drive?
Yes, the USB port supports external hard drives formatted in FAT32 or NTFS. The receiver can record and play back recordings. Make sure to use a drive with its own power supply if necessary, as the USB port does not provide enough power for large drives.
How to solve reception problems in bad weather?
Heavy rain or snow can attenuate the satellite signal. Check that the dish is not obstructed (snow, leaves). Make sure the LNB connections are waterproof. In case of persistent signal loss, wait for the weather to improve.
The remote control no longer works, what to do?
First check the batteries: replace them if necessary. Point the remote directly at the receiver. If the problem persists, reset the remote by removing the batteries and pressing each button for 3 seconds, then reinsert the batteries. If still defective, contact customer service.
How to reset the receiver to factory settings?
Go to 'Menu > Installation > Default settings'. Enter the PIN code (default 0000) and confirm. The receiver will restart with factory settings, clearing all channels and custom settings.
