Frequently Asked Questions - X76263MD2 AEG

How to install the AEG X76263MD2 cooker hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Securely fix the hood to the wall, connect it to a 220-240 V socket and connect the exhaust duct if you are using extraction mode. Maintain a minimum distance of 65 cm between the hood and the hob.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher at 65 °C or by hand with hot water and detergent. Let them dry before reinstalling. It is recommended to clean them every 4 weeks.
Is a carbon filter needed for recirculation mode?
Yes, if you use the hood in recirculation mode (without external evacuation), you must install a carbon filter. It is not supplied; you can purchase it separately. Replace it every 3 to 6 months depending on use.
How to replace the LED lighting?
The LEDs are integrated and must be replaced by a professional. If the lighting no longer works, contact AEG after-sales service.
The hood is making noise. Is this normal?
A noise level up to 65 dB at maximum speed is normal. If the noise is abnormal, check that the filters are properly fitted and clean. Incorrect installation can also cause vibrations.
How to use the intensive function?
The intensive function provides a power boost for a few minutes. To activate it, press the dedicated button (often identified by 'Boost' or a symbol). It returns automatically to normal speed after a certain time.
Where can I find spare parts for the hood?
Spare parts (filters, bulbs, remote control) are available from AEG customer service or on the official website. Use the reference X76263MD2 to identify compatible parts.
What is the recommended mounting height?
For an electric hob, the minimum distance is 65 cm; for a gas hob, 75 cm. These distances ensure efficient extraction and safety.
How to switch from extraction mode to recirculation mode?
You must block the external air outlet and install a carbon filter. Consult the manual for the installation diagram. The recirculation kit is sold separately.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check the power supply (fuse, circuit breaker). Make sure the plug is properly connected. If the problem persists, contact AEG technical support.
