Dear customer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGER product.
The HÄEGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the consumer privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
We assume that the user is familiar with the common procedures of household appliances.
Before using the appliance for the first time please read carefully and thoroughly through these operating instructions and the safety advice, completely familiarising yourself with the appliance. Retain these instructions for future reference and pass them on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.
General Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before using the fan heater.
- Only connect the fan heater to a single-phase socket with a main voltage as specified on the rating plate.
- This appliance meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements specified in EN 55104/95 with regard to interference with radio and TV sets.
- Do not leave your home while the appliance is in function: ensure that the switch is in OFF (0) position and the thermostat is in minimum position. Always unplug the appliance.
- Keep combustible material such as furniture, cushions, bedding, paper, clothes, curtains etc. At least 100cm away from the fan heater.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use. Do not pull the cord to unplug the heater.
- Keep the air inlet and outlet free from objects: at least 1m in front and 50cm behind the heater.
- Do not locate the heater right below a socket.
- Do not let animals or children touch or play with the fan heater. Pay attention! The air outlet gets hot during operation (more than 80°C, or 175°F).
- Do not cover. If covered, there is the risk of overheating.
- Do not use this fan heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

Do not use the fan heater in the rooms with explosive gas or while using inflammable solvents, varnish or glue.

If the cord of this appliance is damaged discontinues use of this product and contact the manufacturer for further instructions.
- Keep the fan heater clean. Do not allow any objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock, or fire or damage to the heater.
Children and Frail Individuals
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
- Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is a danger of suffocation!
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Special safety instructions

Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of showers, bath tubs, wash basins, swimming pools, etc.
- Always use the heater in an upright position.
- Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (danger of overheating).
- The heater must be positioned at least 50cm from furniture or other objects.
- When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against walls, furniture, curtains, etc.
- The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls can not be reached by persons using the bath tub or the shower.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or a qualified electrician in order to eliminate all risk.
- The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath a fixed power point.

Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating with the attendant risk of fire.
- Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4m2 in area.
- The heater is fitted with a safety device which will switch off the heater in case of accidental overheating (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all). To reset, disconnect the plug from the power for a few minutes, remove the cause of overheating then plug the appliance in again.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, never under any circumstances cover the appliances during operation, as this would lead to dangerous overheating.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

Electrical Connection
- Before plugging in the heater, check that the voltage of your domestic supply corresponds to the voltage (V) indicated on the appliance.
- Check that the electrical socket has a rating of 10/16 Amps.
Use
INSTALLATION
The appliance requires no installation; it should be used solely as a portable appliance. Portable appliances are not suitable for use in a bathroom.
OPERATION
- Turn the thermostat knob (2) in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting.
- Summer service (ventilation only): turn the knob to setting ✗.
- Heating at reduced power: turn the knob (3) to setting I (1000W).
- Heating at full power: turn the (3) to setting II (2000W).
- Switching off: turn the knob (3) to setting 0.
REGULATING THE THERMOSTAT
When the room has reached the required temperature turn the thermostat knob in an anti-clockwise direction up to the point where the appliance switches off and not beyond. The temperature fixed in this way will be automatically regulated and kept at a constant level by the thermostat.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Before cleaning always remove the plug from the electrical socket.
- Clean the air inlet / outlet grilles frequently.
- Never use abrasive powders or solvents.

Environment

Please consider our environment
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
When you wish to dispose of the appliance, remove the cable and dispose it in an environmentally friendly way (e.g. recycling plant).
Guarantee
This unit is covered by a 24 months (*) warranty, from the purchase date, and covers the repair free of charges of the damaged due to the manufacturer fault or defected components. The distributor reserves the right to change the unit for an equivalent model.
The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use, lightning, incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional damaged. The warranty does not cover damage thus attributable to falls, blows, spill, exposure to extreme environmental conditions or deterioration caused by normal use of plastic parts or keyboards, as well as by the use of batteries other than those specified in this manual.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the distributor or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and must be jointed the warranty certificated and the respective original invoice or selling ticket, where the buying date is expressed indicated.
The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive 1999/44/CE of European Parliament and Council of 25 May.
