USER MANUAL 531 JATA
- Read carefully these instructions before using the appliance for the first time and keep it for future enquiries.
- Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
- Place the scale on a horizontal, rigid surface.
- Do not place on carpets or any other soft surface, as the weigh given would be erroneous.
- Ensure the surface where you place the bathroom scale and the platform of the scale is dry to avoid slipping.
- Do not jump on or off the scale.
- The appliance switches off automatically a few seconds after weighing.
- It is advisable to always weigh yourself at the same time, preferably before breakfast.
IMPORTANT:
- For a good conductivity and a correct analysis result of the body fat, body water, body bone, body muscle and suggested daily calories percentage please weigh always barefoot and make sure that your feet are in full contact with the metallic parts of the surface.
- Do not use it if you have a pacemaker and neither with electric or electronic devices.
- The excess of liquids, some medical conditions, the ingestion of foods, and the menstrual cycle so on could make the results change.
- The scale is a sensible electronic instrument. Some appliances of high frequency as mobiles, radio stations, remote controls and microwaves, can cause disturbs if the scale is used nearly of them. Keep it far away of these points if you notice irregularities on the display.
- The scale is not apt for commercial transactions or medical purposes.
- Designed for domestic use only.
- Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water. If necessary clean the scale with a damp cloth.
- When cleaning do not use chemical or abrasive products, such as metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
- The scale works with 2 batteries type R3 (not included).
- Open the lid situated at the bottom and insert the batteries with their polarities as indicated in its housing. Then when the scale is on and the digits "0.0" showed on the display, you can select the weight you want by pressing the button "UNIT" placed at the bottom of the scale: kg (kilograms) - lb (pounds) – St-lb (stones-pounds).
GETTING WEIGHED
- Get straight on the scale by putting first one foot slowly on the platform and then the other.
SET PERSONAL DATA
- The scale has the option to weigh and get fat percentage, body water, bone density, muscle mass, recommended calories and corporal mass index, upon introduction and memorization prides itself on the following data: age, sex and height. The scale has data capacity of 12 people.
- To insert the data in the memory follow the next steps.
- Press "SET". The display will show corresponding to one of the 12 memories of the scale between P00 and P11. Immediately and using buttons "up" (3) or "down" (4) look "P00" to enter data for a person and press "SET" to set. It appears intermittently the symbol that correspond with the male or female next to the digits that correspond with the age and the indication "AGE". With the same buttons (3 and 4) select male or female and press "SET" to fix it.
- The digits corresponding with the age and the "AGE" indication will flash. Use these buttons to select and press "SET" to set. The height will be flashing.
- Using the same buttons 3 and 4, set the height and press "SET" to memorize.
- The data of the selected number person is memorized. Wait for the digits "0.0" appear on the screen and then the scale switches off.
- Repeat all the process with all the people that are going to use the scale.
GETTING WEIGHED AND OBTAINING BODY FAT, BODY WATER, BODY MUSCLE, BODY BONE AND SUGGESTED DAILY CALORIES PERCENTAGE
- Once all the data have been introduced in the memories, to get weighed and find out this percentages, follow these steps.
- Press "SET" and next use the 3 and 4 pushers until your memory number appears on the screen.
NOTE: The scale always keeps the last results, and then you need to change the memory if your memory is different to the last weighing. Push "SET" and the memory data will flash on the display. Wait until "0.0" is showed on the display.
- Get on the scale and remain still. First your weigh will appear flashing on the screen. Next it will appear "0.. 0.. 0..0" and next the percentages in this sequence: body fat, body water, body muscle, body bone and suggested daily calories.
NOTE: When the body fat percentage is showed on the display at the same time it will appear also the following indications: UNDERFAT, HEALTHY, OVERFAT, OBESE
This percentages and the weigh result will vary twice and next the scale switches off. The adjoined tables will give an orientation of these percentages.
BEAR IN MIND THAT
- If "O-Id" shows on the display it means the maximum weight of the scale has been exceeded.
- You must proceed to change the batteries when the "Lo" symbol shows on the display. To do that, open the lids placed in the back side of the appliance and change the battery.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
- Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
- Dispose the batteries according to the local garbage regulations.
- Never throw away the appliance or the batteries to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
- The batteries must not be mixed with other domestic residues.
