CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The warranty will only be valid if the warranty application has been completed by the dealer at the time of purchase. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensory limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.

Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision.

Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.

This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

• Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
• Farms
• Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
• Guest rooms or similar

Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

Read the manual completely before using the appliance.

• Check to make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the appliance.
• Never immerse the housing, the line cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Do not touch hot components while the appliance is in use.
• Do not let the line cord hang over the table edge or touch hot surfaces.
• The appliance is for household use only and for food preparation.
• Switch off the appliance and leave it to cool before replacing or touching components or transporting the appliance.
• Do not touch hot surfaces, use the handles and knobs.
• Be careful when opening the lid, hot steam may escape. Use kitchen gloves.
• In case you grill for a longer time, make sure the grease tray does not overflow.
• Never put the grill directly on a table, but preferably use an insulating mat.
• To be used exclusively with the enclosed thermostat.
• Do not use the appliance if it does not work properly.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Clean all components and dry them carefully. Allow the device heating for 15 minutes. Some smoke and smell can be spread. This disappears after a few minutes and is absolutely normal. Afterwards the appliance is ready for use.

ATTENTION

• Only use the appliance when completely mounted.
  • Make sure the device is on a flat, stable surface.
• Use the grill plate only in this appliance.
• Never leave the device without supervision when in use.

• Some grease can splash up from the food. As a consequence place the appliance on an insulating mat when placed on a table.
  • Make sure no one could fall over the cord while grilling.

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical socket and leave it to cool before transporting it.

• The same goes prior to cleaning the device.
• Always install the oil- and grease tray before usage.

THERMOSTAT

The grill temperature can be adapted with the thermostat knob.

2 keeping warm

3 low temperature (fish)

4 moderate temperature (chicken)

5 maximum temperature

INDICATOR

When you turn on the appliance and the thermostat is adjusted, the indicator will light up. The indicator turns out when the desired temperature is achieved.

PREPARATION

Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil : turning the meat will go easier. Preheat the grill by turning the thermostat on the maximum temperature for 10 minutes.

Never grill frozen food (defrost it first!) and always use the grease tray.

Never cover the grill plate with aluminium foil, the heat cannot escape.

Never cut directly on the grill plate.

Use wooden or heat-proof plastic kitchenware to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.

While grilling, you can place the lid or use it as a windscreen by hanging it up at the handle.

Be careful when removing the lid since heat steam or grease can be thrown out.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

You should clean the appliance after each use.

Remove the plug form the electric socket and wait until the device has cooled down completely.

Never immerse the thermostat in water or any other liquid!

The grill plate can be cleaned with a soft brush and soapy water. To remove stubborn dirt you can leave the plate to soak in water with detergent.
