2 | BEFORE FIRST USE

Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.

Rinse all the accessories - food pusher, feed chute, lid, juice jug, froth separator, filter, filterholder, pulp container - with warm soapy water and dry them thoroughly. Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Always roll out the cord completely.

3 | MOUNTING

  1. Place the base (9) on a flat and stable surface.
  2. Check that the unit is switched off. Place the pulp container (11) in the slots on the base.
  3. Place the filterholder (5) on the base.
  4. Mount the filter (4) on to the filterholder by pressing firmly. Ensure it is fitted securely inside the filterholder.
  5. Place the lid (3) over the filterholder and fit the feed chute (2) to the lid by fitting the edges on the feed chute into the notches on the lid.
Turn anti-clockwise until the hook on the chute faces the arrow on the lid. Place the food pusher (1) into the feed chute. Align the groove in the pusher with the small protrusion on the inside of the feeding tube.
  6. Raise the locking handle (8) over the lid until it clicks into place. The unit does not operate if the handle isn't properly locked.
  7. Place the juice jug and separator (12, 13) provided under the spout (6), alternatively another suitable container. The froth separator keeps the juice free from foam.

4 | USING

The juice extractor will only operate when all the parts are in position and the locking handle is locked properly.

You can preferably use fruits/vegetables directly from the refrigerator if you like cold juice. Clean fruit and vegetables thoroughly. Remove big seeds (for instance peaches, cherry and apricots), apples and pears can be added whole without removing the core. Ingredients with thick peel (like melons, pineapple, cucumber) as well as citrus fruits shall be peeled first; otherwise the filter can be damaged. Cut too large fruits/vegetables once or several times to fit the feed chute. Also remove shaft and bad parts.

  1. Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance and connect the plug to wall socket.
  2. Choose the desired speed by pushing the speed control to position 1 or 2. Use the below guide lines: Speed 1: tomatoes, pears, peaches, strawberries, oranges, plums, grapefruits, lemons, cherry, currant, gooseberries, onions, cucumbers, garlic, parsley. Speed 2: carrots, apples, pepper, potatoes, pineapple, cabbage, celery, spinach, fennel and other root vegetables.
  3. Press the fruit- and/or vegetable pieces slowly down the feed chute with the pusher. Do not push too hard, since speed and extraction will be influenced negative. The motor shall always be operated while the fruit and vegetables are being pressed down in the opening. The juice will now rinse down in the jug and the leftovers will be thrown into the separate pulp container. Cut too large fruits/vegetables once or several times to fit the feed chute.
  4. If anything gets stuck so that the extractor operates slow or stop, the appliance shall be switched off and the filter cleaned.
  5. Always switch off the appliance after use by pushing the speed control to "0". Wait 10-15 seconds until the filter stops rotating. Let the last drips of juice rinse down into the jug and then unplug the appliance from wall socket.

Attention: always switch off the appliance and wait 10-15 seconds until the filter stops rotating before you open the device.

Attention: never use your finger, when pushing down fruit and vegetables in the opening. Always use the pusher only.

Attention: The juice extractor must only be operated during 5 minutes at a time, then a pause of 15 minutes before using it again.

5 | TIPS

• Always use fresh fruits and vegetables since they are more juicy.
- Press soft fruits and vegetables slowly, by doing that you achieve the best extracting result.
- It's recommended to drink the juice immediately after preparation, since the quality is best then. It will deteriorate fast when getting in contact with the air.
The taste and colour will be influenced. Apple- and pear juice will quickly turn brown, but by adding some drips of lemon this can be avoided.
- The sooner the juice is being consumed, the more vitamins it contain.
- Fresh juice shall be diluted when serving children (1:1).
- The juice from dark-green (broccoli, spinach etc) or dark-red (beetroot, red cabbage etc) vegetables is very strong and should always be diluted.
- Fruits that are rich in starch such as papaya, avocado, bananas, figs etc are not suitable for the extractor. We recommend that you use food processor or blender for best result.
- Apples, pears, beets, pineapple, oranges, grapes, carrots, melons, tomatoes and cucumber are especially suitable for the juice extractor.
- Leafs and stalks from lettuce can also be pressed in the juice extractor.

6 | CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the cord from the socket before cleaning the juice extractor.
- Advice: Always clean the juice extractor immediately after use. The parts are easier to clean.
- All separate parts can be cleaned in warm water and some washing-up liquid. Do not clean the parts in the dishwasher.
- For the filter the soft brush (included) can be used if necessary.
- Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive or strong detergents.
- Attention: Avoid scouring powder and other chemical scratching agents.
- Never place the appliance, the power cable or the plug in water or any other liquid.
- Some vegetables, like carrots and beetroot might discolour the plastic parts. This discolouring can be removed by using some cooking oil. Add the cooking oil on a soft, damp cloth or sponge and rub the discoloured parts. Wipe off and dry the parts.

  1. Release the lid by pressing the safety locking button (7) placed on the locking handle and lower the locking handle.
  2. Lift the lid and remove the feed chute and food pusher.
  3. Remove the filter and filterholder carefully. Warning! Be careful when handling the grater and when cleaning.
