- Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the device. Please keep these instructions, the guarantee certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.

The following label has been affixed to the unit, listing the proper procedure for working with the laser beam:
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT

WARNING LABEL INFORMING OF RADIATION - This label is placed inside the unit. As shown in the illustration. To warn against further measures on the unit. The equipment contains a laser radiating laser rays according to the limit of laser product of class 1.
HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundrytub, swimming pool or in a wet basement.
VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. ESD WARNING - The display does not function properly or no reaction to operation of any the control may due to the electrostatic discharge. Switch off and unplug the set. Reconnect after a few seconds.

SERVICING - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the user operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
Notes:
a. Dirty or scratched CD may cause a skipping problem. Clean or replace the CD.
b. If an error display or malfunction occurs, disconnect the AC cord and remove all the batteries. Then turn the power back on.
Notes: CONCERNING COMPACT DISCS.
Since dirty, damaged or warped discs may damage the appliance, care should be taken of the followings items:
a. Usable compact discs. Use only compact disc with the mark shown below.
b. CD compact disc only with digital audio signals.

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
- Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
POWER SOURCES
AC power
You can power your portable system by plugging the external AC/DC adaptor into the DC inlet at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC adaptor is fully inserted into the appliance.
Battery power
Insert 8 x "C" size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Always remove the batteries when appliance will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your appliance.
Notes:
Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together. When using the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC/DC adaptor.
USE
Radio
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Press the source button repeatedly to switch to the tuner mode.
- Use the tuning control button to tune to your radio station, note: turn the knob until you hear a click. When you hold the knob for a several seconds the device will search automatically.
• Note: fully extend the telescopic antenna and rotate it for the best reception.
Storing your favorite radio station
Tune to your favorite station, press the [prog/mem/mode] button, the memory cell number will flash. Use with the skip buttons the designated memory cell number and confirm with the [prog/mem/mode] button. From now on you can choose your favorite station by using the skip buttons during radio playback.
Play a disc
• Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Press the source button repeatedly to switch to the CD mode.
- Open the CD door, load a disc on the disc tray with the label side facing up and close the CD door.
- Press the [play/pause] button to pause or resume the playback, press the [stop] button to stop the playback.
Play an USB/SD/MMC
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Press the source button repeatedly to switch to the USB or card mode.
- Insert an USB tot the USB port or insert a SD/MMC card to the card slot.
- Press the [play/pause] button to pause or resume the playback, press the [stop] button to stop the playback.
Skip tracks
- Press the skip buttons to go to the next or previous track.
- Press and hold the skip buttons to search at a quick rate for a specific point to play.
- Press the [+10/album] button to skip 10 tracks ahead.
• Press and hold the [+10/album] button to skip to the next album.
Play modes
During playback, pres the [prog/mem/mode] button to switch among several play modes.
For CD
• Press once: repeat a single trak
• Press twice: repeat all tracks
• Press three times: random play mode
• Press four times: introduction play mode
- Press five times: exit
For MP3/USB/SD/MMC
• Press once: repeat a single trak
• Press twice: repeat the directory
• Press three times: repeat all tracks
• Press four times: random play mode
• Press five times: introduction play mode
- Press six times: exit
Programmed play
- A maximum of 20 tracks for CD and 99 tracks for MP3/USB can be programmed in memory in a preferred order.
- Press the [prog/mem/mode] button in the stop mode. "P-01" starts flashing on the display, choose with the skip buttons the desired track and confirm with the [prog/mem/mode] button. Press the [play/pause] button to start your playlist.
- If you want to stop your playlist, first press the [play/pause] button and then the [stop] button.
- Note: if your source contains folders you first have to program the folders (programming the folders is the same as programming tracks)
Aux in
- Connect an external audio source to the device by plugging it in the aux in jack.
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Press the source button repeatedly to switch to the Aux mode.
• Use the native controls on the external audio source to start playing music.
Phone jack
Plug in the headphone and adjust the volume with the volume control, when an external headphone is connected the speakers will be muted.
Caution: listening a high volume for a long time could damage the users ears.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
- Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device in not dishwasher proof.
GUARANTEE
• Tristar is not liable for damages occurred through:
o In case the appliance has fallen.
o In case the appliance has been technically changed by the owner or another third party.
o In case of improper use of the appliance.
o In case of normal wear of the appliance.
- By executing repairs the original warranty period of 2 years will not be extended, nor the right to a complied new warranty. This warranty is only legal on European soil. This warranty does not overrule the European directive 2011/83/EU.
• Always keep your receipt, without this receipt you can not claim any form of warranty. - Damage caused by not following the instruction manual will lead to avoid of warranty, if this results in consequential damages Tristar will not be liable.
- Tristar will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the safety instructions are not properly executed.
- Cleaning, as mentioned in this manual, is the only necessary maintenance for this appliance.
- When the appliance should be repaired, make sure that this will be performed by an authorized company.
• This appliance may not be amended or changed. - If problems arise during the 2 years from the date of purchase, which are covered by the factory warranty, you can go back to the point of purchase to replace it for a new one.
- For questions or compliances please contact your retailer "point of purchase."
- This appliance is covered with a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).

- Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of these parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

• After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
