How to fill the water tank?

Make sure the steam regulator is in dry position and the iron is unplugged. Use the provided measuring cup to pour water into the filling hole without exceeding the MAX level.

How to use the continuous steam function?

Turn the steam regulator to the steam position (steam symbol). The thermostat must be in the steam zone (special segment). Place the iron horizontally to get steam.

How to do a steam shot (super steam)?

Set the thermostat to maximum. Wait for the light to go out, then press the super steam button. Wait a few seconds between each press.

How to iron vertically?

Set the steam regulator to dry position, thermostat to maximum. Wait for the light to go out, hold the iron vertically near the hanging garment, then press the super steam button. Never direct steam towards a person.

How to descale the iron?

Fill the tank to MAX, plug in the iron and set the thermostat to maximum. Once hot (light off), unplug it and place it over a sink. Turn the steam regulator fully clockwise to release the anti-scale rod. Gently shake to expel water and impurities. Put the regulator back in position, then heat for 2 minutes to dry.

Why is steam not coming out?

Check that the tank has water, the thermostat is in the steam zone, and the steam regulator is not in dry position. If the problem persists, descaling may be necessary.

What kind of water to use?

This iron works with ordinary tap water. Do not use demineralized or scented water, nor anti-scale or stain removers.

How to store the iron after use?

Unplug the iron, empty the tank by tilting the iron over a sink. Dry the soleplate with a dry cloth, wind the cord around the cord winder, and store the iron in an upright position.

Is the soleplate non-stick?

The manual does not specify the soleplate type. To avoid scratches, do not iron over zippers, buttons or staples. Clean it only with a damp cloth, without abrasives.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the iron. Have the cord replaced immediately by a qualified electrician or authorized service center to avoid any danger.

• After removing the packaging, make sure the appliance is complete and undamaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact qualified personnel only.
• Dispose of the plastic bag with care as it represents a hazard for children.

Read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance. This will ensure optimum results and maximum safety.

Important: Before plugging the appliance in, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage (V) indicated on the rating plate of the iron. The socket must be efficiently earthed.

This iron works with normal tap water.

a) Before filling the tank, make sure the steam regulator G is in the "dry" position (fig. 1). Make sure the power cable is unplugged from the mains socket.
b) Fill the measure to the level mark then pour the water into the iron (fig. 2) keeping it in a horizontal position. It is important that the iron is always unplugged from the mains every time you fill or top up the water in the tank.
c) Plug the iron into the mains socket.
d) A special segment on the thermostat dial B identifies the steam range. The steam will be wet if the thermostat pointer B is at the beginning of the segment and dryer if it is towards the end. Make sure the fabric to be ironed is suitable for steam ironing. When using the iron for the first time, you are recommended to pass it several times over a piece of cloth first.
e) After these checks, select the required temperature by rotating the thermostat dial B.
f) The indicator light C will come on to show the iron is on. After about a minute in the case of maximum temperature, the indicator light will go off showing that the iron is ready for use.
g) Continuous steam delivery is obtained by turning the steam regulator G to the or (to obtain more steam) position. Steam delivery ceases whenever the iron is placed in a vertical position on the rear rest (position recommended during pauses in ironing) or with the iron horizontal when the steam regulator G is in the dry

position.

Remember that the steam function can only be used when the thermostat is on the segment.

DRY IRONING

• Plug in the iron and select the temperature, if there is water in the tank, place the steam regulator G in the dry position (fig. 1).
• Wait until the indicator light C goes off showing that the required temperature has been reached.
• If the fabric to be ironed is slightly damp or you iron fast, you can use a higher temperature. If, on the other hand, the garments are dry or you iron slowly, use a lower temperature.

SUPER STEAM (FIG. 3)

• Place the thermostat dial (B) on maximum. When the light (C) goes off, press the super steam button (I). For correct operation of the super steam function, you must wait a few seconds between one burst of steam and the next.

VERTICAL IRONING (FIG. 4)

Enables delicate garments to be steamed without resting them on the ironing board: pay attention to the temperature used to steam hanging fabrics.

Place the steam regulator (G) in the dry position. Rotate the thermostat dial B clockwise as far as it will go (maximum steam position). When the light (C) goes off, place the iron in a vertical position and move it near the garment. Press the super steam button (I) until the light (C) comes on again. Wait until the light goes off before continuing vertical ironing.

Never direct the "vertical" steam jet at a garment hanging in a wardrobe or worn by a person. Vertical ironing should always be carried out with the garment hanging on a clothes stand and always away from other garments, elements, people and animals.

SPRAY

If during ironing, you note particularly resistant creases or if your garment requires a higher level of dampness, you can use the spray. Make sure the tank contains water.

Press the spray button (H) repeatedly, directing the spray jet towards the parts of the garment to be dampened.

Never use the spray when ironing silk as the drops of water could mark the fabric.

AFTER IRONING

To extend the working life of the iron, whenever you finish ironing, you are recommended to empty the tank as follows:

• Unplug from the mains socket.
• Empty the iron, holding it point downwards and shaking it gently over a basin or sink.
• To dry the remaining moisture, turn the iron on again with the thermostat on the maximum position for about two minutes.
• Unplug from the mains socket and allow to cool.
• Clean the plate with a dry cloth as traces of moisture could mark it.
• Wind the power cable around the cable winder.
• Store the iron in a vertical position.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

After use, always wait until the iron is cold before putting away. Allow to cool in a vertical position.

Keep the surface of the plate clean. Do not rest or use the iron on zips, hooks, rings etc to avoid scratching the plate. Clean the plate with a damp cloth only, never use abrasives or solvents.

If the amount of stream drops during use, this could be caused by excessive build-up of limescale.

To remove, proceed as follows:

• fill the tank to the "MAX" level;
• plug the appliance into the mains and place the thermostat in the MAX position. When the iron has reached the required temperature (light off), unplug the applian

ce and leave in a horizontal position;

• place over a sink;
• turn the steam regulator clockwise as far as it will go. The limescale rod is released and the regulator lifts up;
• shake the appliance gently to drain the water in the tank through the plate, taking the impurities with it;
  to replace the limescale rod in position, push and turn the steam regulator to the position;
• plug the appliance into the mains and leave in operation for at least two minutes to dry the plate.
• at the end, unplug the appliance from the mains. Leave the iron to cool and clean the outside with a soft cloth.

Important information for correct disposal of the product in accordance with EC Directive 2002/96/EC.

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentia-ted waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service.
