1.2 IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
- Please keep this manual and override keys in a safe place (NOT INSIDE THE SAFE)
• DO NOT use any liquid while cleaning the keypad/fascia, you could use a damp cloth if required
• Make sure the safe is anchored properly as it can fall and hurt people and property - DO NOT place any liquid on top of the safe, a spill on the keypad/ fascia may render the safe inoperable
• DO NOT overstuff the safe or you can damage the motor mechanism or the contents
• DO NOT place the safe in direct sunlight in case of Biometric - For security purposes, you should change the factory default code i.e. Personal Code AND Master Code as soon as possible. Godrej Security Solution shall not be responsible for only theft caused by such negligence.

3. OPENING THE SAFE
Before Registering Fingerprints (In Factory Default Condition)
- Press the wake-up button, a beep is heard and green LED of fingerprint reader stays ON continuously.
- Place any finger on the fingerprint reader, a melody is heard and green LED flashes when the bolts are retracted fully.
After Registering Fingerprints
- Press wake-up button, a beep is heard and green Led of fingerprint reader lights up.
- Place registered finger on the fingerprint reader, a melody is heard and green LED flashes when the bolts are retracted fully.
WARNING:
If wrong fingerprint is placed for 6 consecutive attempts then the safe will go in lockout Mode for a period of 2 minutes. Green and Red LED flashes every 4 seconds and no input is accepted during lockout period. After 2 minutes the safe gives a beep and goes back to normal operational mode; now the user can again attempt to operate the safe.
4. CLOSING THE SAFE
Close the door and press wake-up button, a beep is heard and green LED flashes once. The bolts will extend fully followed by a short beep and the door will be closed. Pull the door to ensure the safe is closed.
Note:
When Red LED flashes 3 times with melody, change the batteries.
5. FINGER PLACEMENT
- Place a finger such that it completely covers the sensor area with maximum contact.
- It is recommended to use the index finger or middle finger.
- Thumb, ring or little finger is more difficult to place in the correct position.
- Place core part of a finger at the center of the sensor.
- If a finger is placed as shown in picture (b), only a small area of the finger is captured. Hence, it is recommended to place the core area of the finger as shown in picture (a).
- For instances when an enrolled fingerprint cannot be used due to injury or holding baggage, it is recommended to enroll more than two fingers per user.

Tips for different fingerprint conditions
Godrej's fingerprint products are designed to scan fingerprints smoothly regardless of the conditions of a finger skin. However, in case a fingerprint is not read well on the sensor, please refer to the followings tips.
- If a finger is wet due to sweat or water, scan after wiping moisture off.
• If a finger is covered with dust or impurities, scan after wiping them off.
• If a finger is way to dry, place after blowing warm breath on the finger tip.
5.1 REGISTERING FINGERPRINTS
The safe must be in open condition.
- Press the "Reset/Enroll Button" located at the back of the door (near the door hinge), a beep is heard and Green LED of fingerprint reader will light up.
- Put any finger on the sensor screen within 5 seconds. While registering the fingerprint, green LED's light up with a single beep. Do not remove your finger during enrolment. If the fingerprint is registered successfully, green LED will flash twice with beeps. If not, green and red LED's flash once with a short beep. If no finger is placed on the sensor screen within 5 seconds, red LED will light up once with a single beep.
- Keep the door open and verify the fingerprint 3-4 times before closing the door.
- If more fingerprints need to be registered then repeat the above mentioned steps.
Note:
- A maximum of 30 fingerprints can be registered.
- While enrolling the 31 finger, Green LED's light up and Red LED's Flashes twice with two short beeps indicating that no more fingerprints can be registered.
5.2 DELETING FINGERPRINTS
The safe must be in open condition.
- Open the battery cover and take out any one piece of battery.
- Press wake-up button three times to discharge the lock.
- Press and hold the “Reset/Enroll Button” located at the back of the door continuously while reconnecting the battery. Approximately 6 seconds later, a beep will be heard and green LED flashes once. Followed by two beeps and Green LED’s flashing twice the bolts will extend fully.
- Release button to finish the process.
- All registered fingerprints have been deleted. Now open the safe with any fingerprint.
Note:
- Safe will be in factory default condition once all the fingerprints are deleted.
- Fingerprints cannot be deleted one by one, all of them must be deleted together.
6. EMERGENCY OVERRIDE KEY

In case of emergency like batteries drained out etc. you can open the safe using Emergency override key:
- Remove the emergency cover.
- Using one of the emergency override keys, insert into the cylinder and turn anti-clockwise and turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
- While the door is open, follow the instructions to set your finger again.
WARNING:
Keep the override keys in a safe place other than inside this safe. These keys are to be used in emergencies only.
7. MOUNTING
7.1 MOUNTING THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE SAFE
- Check the floor for what type it is (wood, tile, concrete)
• Get the appropriate anchors for the type of floor - Check location on floor for concealed wires or pipes
• Mark the floor to drill for your anchor - Drill the appropriate size hole for the anchors you have
- Mount the safe, making sure it is secure
- For mounting to the top of a cabinet you may want to use carriage bolts through the top of the cabinet
• DO NOT mount to a shelf in a cabinet or closet without anchoring to wall behind the safe
7.2 MOUNTING THROUGH THE BACK OF THE SAFE
- Check the wall or cabinet for structural soundness
- For safety, have someone help to hold the safe during mounting
- Check location for concealed wires or pipes
• Mark the surface to drill holes for the anchors you will be using - Drill the appropriate size holes for the anchors you are using
• Having someone hold the unit, anchor the safe to the wall - Test the strength of the mounted safe so it will not fall of the wall or cabinet
• DO NOT place safe on a shelf without proper mounting into a wall

8. REPLACING THE BATTERIES
- Open the Safe using your registered finger. If the batteries are dead, use the Emergency Override key.
- Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the back panel.
- Remove all four used batteries.
- Replace the batteries with four 1.5V AA size alkaline batteries.
- Put back the battery cover.
- Put back the screws to secure the battery cover.
- Keeping the door open, test the safe to make sure it works.
- Dispose the used batteries in an environment friendly way.










9. ERROR MESSAGES
- Access denied condition: If the safe is tried to be opened using an unregistered fingerprint, red LED will flash twice with two short beeps.
- Error while opening and closing: If the shooting bolts fail to retract or extend fully then red LED flashes twice with two short beeps. In this case, push the door to open the safe keeping the register finger on the sensor till the safe opens/closes.
- Shooting bolts fail to extend fully, may be because the safe is too full. Redistribute the contents or remove something to allow the door to close completely.
- Push the door to close it fully before pressing the wake-up button. If you still cannot open or close the safe then DO NOT try to repair the safe yourself. In case of any service requirements, contact the GSS Call Centre on 1800-209-9955 or write to us at secure@godrej.com
- Lockout Condition: If the safe tried to be opened 6 times consecutively with unregistered fingerprint the safe will be in lockout mode for a period of 2 minutes. Red LED will flash twice with two short beeps on each wrong attempt. After 6^th wrong attempt, Green and Red LED flashes for every 4 seconds and no input is accepted until the safe is in lockout mode. (In lockout period, the fingerprint sensor does not activate when the wake-up button is pressed.)
- Battery Low Condition: While opening or closing the safe, red LED flashes 3 times with melody. Change the batteries as given in “REPLACING THE BATTERIES” section.
10. INFORMATION ON E-WASTE HANDLING AND MANAGEMENT
Dear Customer,
The Ministry of Environment and Forests have published The E-waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 which comes in effect from 1st May 2012.
E-waste is defined as any electrical or electronic component of products in whole or in part, or rejects from their manufacturing or repair process which are intended to be discarded.
These rules apply to every producer; consumer or bulk consumer involved in the manufacture, sale, and purchase and processing of electrical and electronic equipment or components as specified in Schedule 1 (please refer to our website www.godrej.com in the 'Good & Green' section of CSR module for more details).
Under these rules, specific roles and responsibilities are defined for producers, consumers and recycles handling and managing e-waste.
E-waste is to be managed in an environmentally sound manner which means, taking steps to ensure that health and environment are protected from adverse effects of hazardous substance contained in such wastes.
Rule 6 of the E-waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 states that bulk consumers of electrical and electronic equipment shall be responsible for recycling of the e-waste generated by them. Bulk consumer means bulk users of electronic and electrical equipment such as Central Government or State Government Departments, public sector undertakings, banks, educational institutions, multinational organisations, and international agencies, private companies that are registered under the Factories Act, 1948 and Companies Act, 1956. The bulk consumers have to ensure that the e-waste generated by them is channelised to authorised collection centres or is taken back by the producers. They shall maintain records of e-waste generated by them in Form 2 and make such records available for scrutiny by the State Pollution Control or the Pollution Control Committee concerned.
All consumers of electrical and electronic equipment irrespective of their status as bulk consumers or not, shall ensure that e-waste generated by them is channelized to authorized collection centres (s) or registered dismantler(s), or recycler(s) or is returned to the pick-up/take back services provided by the producers. (Please refer to our website www.godrej.com in the 'Good & Green' section of CSR module for more details).
All our products intended to be recycled under the category of e-waste (as defined above) carry a label or stamp of the WEEE symbol (A wheelie bin with a cross), which states that it falls under the hazardous waste category and is not to be disposed of along with normal garbage.
