1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance's. If this is not the case, please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Customer Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the main power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.

To clean the exterior of the product, use a dry soft cloth only.

1.5. General Precautions

• Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized professionals.
• Any damage caused by manual modifications to the product is not covered by the warranty.
• If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally intended, or if it is not correctly connected, the product may become damaged and the warranty will be voided.

WARNING

• Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the voltage stated on the unit.
• Always switch the appliance off before putting it down, even if it is only for a moment.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. Always grasp the plug and unplug it from the outlet.
• Do not use the dryer near gas or other inflammable materials (such as benzene, paint thinner, sprays, etc.)
• As the hairdryer handle incorporates electrical components, the hairdryer must be fixed so that the handle, when fully extended, is out of reach of a person using the bath or shower.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard, even when the hairdryer is switched off.
• As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of a residual current device in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom, operating at no more than 30 mA. Ask your installer for advice.
• Do not use the hairdryer with wet hands or in the bath or shower. Do not use this hairdryer near water contained in baths, basins or other vessels. Do not leave or store the dryer near a tub, sink or other place where it will be exposed to water and other liquids or high humidity.
• Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive products.
• The hairdryer is equipped with a heat-sensitive safety device. In the event of overheating (for example, if the rear grill is blocked), the hairdryer will stop automatically. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for a few minutes. Before switching the appliance on again, check the grills to make sure they are not blocked by fluff, hair, etc.

• Do not direct the airflow towards the eyes or other sensitive areas.
• Close supervision is necessary when the hairdryer is used by or near children and disabled persons.
• If the cord is damaged, discontinue the use of the hairdryer immediately and return the unit to your nearest authorised BECKEN service dealer for replacement.
• Please clean the hair on the inlet grille to keep your hairdryer working properly.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtub showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

2.2. Using the Product

Before use

This hairdryer can be operated directly from an AC220-240V\~50Hz power source. It has a new turbo function, so you can dry your wet hair quickly. Use the soft function to dry short hair or for styling. To prevent overdrying while styling your hair, the unique healthy setting reduces the heat output to 57 °C.

The ionizer inside releases negatively charged ions that surround your hair. Negative ions reduce static electricity build-up and help keep your hair in good condition, making it shiny, smooth and frizz-free.

The handle of this hairdryer can be folded for storage.

How to use

1. Make sure the power switch is in the 0 position. Plug the unit in and turn on the power switch.
2. Drying your hair after washing: Set the power switch to "2" without attaching the nozzle, if you want to use cool air, please press the cool switch or set the power switch to "1". If you want to use warm air, please set the power switch to "3".
3. Hair setting: Set the power switch to "1" and attach the nozzle. If you want to use cool air, please press the cool switch or set the heat switch to "2". If you want to use warm air, please set the heat switch to "3".
4. Turn the power switch to 0 and unplug the unit.

2.3. Maintenance

Cleaning

1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning it.
2. Remove the air inlet grille from the appliance. Clean the air inlet grille, nozzle and bicyclic hot and cold nozzle with a moist cloth or by rinsing them under the tap.
3. After drying, connect the air inlet grille.

Worten Equipamentos para o Lar provides a 2-year warranty for manufacturing defects from the date of purchase of the appliance.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

In order to protect the environment we strive to reduce the volume of packaging used, limiting it to three easily sorted materials: cardboard, paper and plastic. The appliance is manufactured using recyclable materials after disassembled by a specialized company. Please comply with local regulations concerning the recycling of all materials.
