CAUTION! All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and especially air bag indicator lights must be connected before cycling the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the on position, or while the vehicle is running.

DASH DISASSEMBLY

  1. Remove (3) T20 Torx screws from the bottom edge of the panel below the steering column, then unclip and remove the panel. (Figure A)
  2. Remove (2) Phillips screws from the instrument cluster panel above the gauges. (Figure A)
  3. Remove (3) T20 Torx screws from the bottom of the steering column shroud, then unclip and remove just the top half of the shroud. (Figure A)
  4. Unclip the entire dash panel surrounding the radio, climate controls, and instrument cluster. Unplug the climate controls, then remove the panel.
  5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio, then slide the radio out. Unplug and remove the radio.

KIT PREPARATION KIT ASSEMB

  1. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the climate controls, then remove them in preparation for the following steps.
  2. Place theout template over the factory dash panel. (Figure A)
  3. Scribe the dash panel on the inside edges of the template to mark for cutting. (Figure A)
  4. Remove theout template, then cut the dash panel and remove shaded areas. (Figure B)
  5. Clip the radio trim panel onto the dash panel and ensure that it seats properly to the panel. If not, file the panel until it seats properly.
  6. Secure the climate controls back to the dash panel using the factory screws.
  7. Cut the shaded area of the sub-dash to allow room for the radio assembly. (Figure C)

  1. Secure the radio brackets to the radio using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A)
  2. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra and/or Axxess. Test the radio for proper operation.
  3. Secure the radio assembly to the dash using the factory screws.
  4. Reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly to complete the installation.
