General safety instructions
Before using the appliance ensure that the main voltage corresponds to the voltage displayed on the rating label. Always plug the appliance into a suitable electrical outlet.
In order to avoid electrical shock risk, please do not inmerse the power cord nor the appliance into water or any other kind of liquid. Check the cleaning instructions.
Do not use unauthorized accessories. This will result in cancellation of the guarantee and could cause accidents.
Do not keep the power cording hanging from the table or the shelf. Keep it away from hot sources. Do not allow sharp or blunt objects to touch it. Do not operate the appliance if the power cord or the plug are damaged, or if you notice unusual operation of the appliance.
Do not leave the appliance operating without supervision. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it. Pull the plug, not the power cord.
If any repair is needed, or if the power cord must be replaced, please ask a aqualified professional or contact the Official Technical Support.

This appliance is not supposed to be operated by any external timer or remote control system.
Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance. Do not cover it and do not place if near flammable materials.

Never use forks or sharp objects to clean the appliance. This could cause several damage and may cause an accident.
Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
Before cleaning the appliance, check that it is unplugged.

Do not use the appliance in an improper way. It could cause severe injuries. In the event that the appliance has been misused by the costumer, the guarantee will be cancelled.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Do not place the appliance on surfaces with instability or low heat resistance, or on top of any other domestic appliance.
Use this appliance only for cooking purposes. Do not try to cut cords, hardware or any other object or material. Use it exclusively to cut food such as cheese, meat, bread or cold meat. Never try to cut frozen food.
Do not attempt to cut meat with bones, food with big sized seeds, tied roast, aluminum or plastic packages, frozen food or hard food.
Do not cut the food using your hands. Always use the sliding tray. Never touch the blades.
In case of food pieces not fitting the sliding tray because their size or shape, please be extremely careful when using the appliance.
Do not operate the appliance continuously. Stop the appliance and wait for a few seconds between each cut. If the appliance is going to operate for a long time, allow a break for several minutes between each batch of cuts.

CAUTION: The blades are very sharp. Be extremely careful when using, cleaning or storing the appliance.
It is very important to always keep the appliance clean.
Never touch the blades while the appliance is operating. Do not try to stop the blades with any kind of tool.

Children must be supervised so they do not play with the appliance.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years old.

Operation
Ensure that all parts of the appliance are entirely clean before using it, even if it is its first use.
Assemble the thumb guard and the sliding tray.
Put the sliding tray in vertical position in order to mount it correctly on the support.
Add the piece holder.
Check that all parts are firmly assembled.
Select the slicing thickness by turning the adjusting knob.
Plug the appliance. The appliance is ready for use.
Lay the food to be sliced between the blade and the piece holder.
Press the on/off button and the safety lock simultaneously with your left hand. The blade will start rotating. For safety reasons, the appliance will only work if both buttons are pressed.
Push the tray with your right hand to bring the food to the blade.
To avoid blockage of the appliance, you can wipe the blades with a slightly damp cloth before the cut. This will help the food to be cut easier. Always disconnect the appliance when performing this operation.
Do not attempt to cut meat with bones, food with big sized seeds, tied roast, aluminum or plastic packages, frozen food or hard food.

The appliance should not be operated continuously for more than 3 minutes.
This appliance should be used with the sliding tray and the food tray in correct position, unless this is not possible due to the size or shape of the food.
To turn off the appliance, please stop pressing the safety lock and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning the appliance it should be unplugged from the outlet.
Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the appliance.
Please clean the body with a slightly damp cloth.
Never immerse the appliance into water or any other liquid. Do not put it under a water stream. Do not put the appliance into the dishwasher.
Do not use aggressive cleaner products. Do not use metallic brushes or sharp tools to clean the appliance.
The blade can be removed by turning the safety knob.
All removable parts can be cleaned with water.

WARNING: The blades are very sharp. After cleaning the blades, put them in their position and turn the safety knob couterclockwise.
Dry all parts of the appliance before storing or using the appliance again.
