\ Pencil
4 Please read through these instructions completely to become familiar with this installation process. Check your monitor's manual for any special requirements needed to mount your monitor.
Positioning Your Monitor
The optimal height to position a monitor is at the viewer's eye level.
• Determine the location and wall material where you will be mounting the monitor.
• Measure the distance from the seating area to viewing area to determine proper placement. Ideal position should place the center of the monitor as close as possible to eye level.

Eye Level Height 15° Viewing AngleTIP: Use a cardboard cutout that matches your monitor's dimensions. Tape it to the wall to visualize the placement of your monitor.
- If you are mounting your monitor to a concrete wall, skip to Applying the Wall Mount Template on page 10. If you are mounting your monitor onto a wall with wood studs, follow the next step:
Locating Wood Studs
Wall studs run vertically inside the wall, behind the drywall or plaster. The wall plate must be mounted to a wood stud, or the bracket could fall out and damage your monitor.
1 Use a stud finder to locate the edges of the wooden stud.
2 Mark the centerline of the stud.

The wall mount template is a guide for the mounting screws that secure the wall mount. Once you've determined the location for your monitor, place the center of the wall mount template onto the wall at the center of your installation. If you're mounting this to a wooden stud, place the template at the stud's center.
Place the wall mount template on the wall, and use the included leveler to make sure the template is level.

Wall mount template- For installation into drywall with wooden studs, mark the three center guard holes of the wall mount.
- For installation into a concrete wall, mark the two guard holes on each side and the two support holes at the bottom of the wall mount.
To double-check your wall mount placement, hold and align the mounting bracket against your marks on the wall.

Selecting the Right VESA Mounting Hardware for Your Monitor
A variety of screws are included to fit VESA standards on the back of most monitors. Select the appropriate M4, M6, or M8 screws and washers. Hand-thread the screws to determine the correct diameter.
CAUTION! If the screw is too short, it may not hold the monitor. If it's too long, it may damage the monitor.
Using Spacers
Your monitor type will determine which hardware configuration is needed.
A If your monitor has a flat back, install it without spacers.

Wall with Wood Studs
1 Use a 3/32" (3 mm) wood drill bit to predrill holes according to your markings from the wall mount template. Be sure the predrilled holes are at least .75" (20 mm) deep.

2 Screw in the lag screws, and leave a 1/8" (3 mm) space.

Concrete Wall
1 Use an 5/16" (8 mm) masonry drill bit to predrill holes according to your markings on the wall. Be sure the predrilled holes are at least 2" (50 mm) deep.

2 Insert the concrete lag anchor into each hole, and then use a hammer to tap each anchor flush with the wall.

3 Screw in the lag screws into the 4 guard holes, and leave a 1/8" (3 mm) space.

Attaching the Mounting Bracket to the Wall
Hold the monitor and mount assembly, and seat the wall mount's guard holes onto the lag screw heads. Tighten the lag screws until secure. If you are mounting onto a concrete wall, insert lag screws into the bottom two support holes of the wall mount.
