Using your appliance
◆Do not touch moving parts.
◆Do not insert your hands or any utensils into the product before the blades have completely stopped.
◆The blades are sharp. Take care when handling the cutting blades, especially when removing the blade from the bowl, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
◆Always take care when using the appliance.
◆Never pull the power supply cord to disconnect the plug from the socket. Keep the power supply cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
◆Do not place the appliance on or near heat sources or in a heated oven.
◆Do not use the appliance outdoors.
◆Always protect the motor unit from water or excessive humidity.
◆Operate the appliance only with dry hands.
If the power supply cord is damaged during use, disconnect the appliance from the power supply immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before disconnecting from the power supply.
◆Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use, before fitting or removing parts and before cleaning.
Safety of others
Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with these instructions to use the appliance.
Do not allow children or animals to come near the work area or to touch the appliance or power supply cord. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
After use
◆Remove the plug from the socket before leaving the appliance unattended and before changing, cleaning or inspecting any parts of the appliance.
- When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place. Children should not have access to stored appliances.
Inspection and repairs
Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective parts. Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
◆Before use, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

This appliance is double insulated in accordance with EN 60335; therefore no earth wire is required.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in water or other liquid.

ASSEMBLY

Before assembly, make sure that the appliance is unplugged.
◆Place the chopper blade (5) on the pin (6).
◆Put the ingredients in the bowl (3). Use the markings on the bowl to measure the correct amounts.
◆Place the lid (4) on the bowl and make sure it clicks into place. The top end of the shaft should protrude through the hole in the lid.
◆Place the motor unit (2) on the bowl.

USE
Switching on and off
◆Plug in the appliance.
◆Set the speed control switch (1) to the desired cutting speed.
◆Press down on the motor unit (2) to switch the appliance on.
◆To switch off, release the motor unit.

Do not operate the appliance continuously for more than 1 minute. After operating the appliance continuously for 1 minute, let it cool down for at least 3 minutes before operating it again.
After use
◆Take the motor unit off the bowl.
◆Remove the lid from the bowl, by depressing the two small ribs (7) on the lid.
◆Carefully remove the blade from the bowl.
◆Take out the chopped ingredients from the bowl.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning and maintenance, unplug the appliance and take the motor unit off the bowl. Be careful when cleaning the blades - they are sharp.
♦Wash the bowl, lid and blade in warm soapy water and dry well.
◆Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner.

Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid.

Black & Decker provides a facility for recycling Black & Decker products once they have reached the end of their working life. This service is provided free of charge. To take advantage of this service please return your product to any authorised repair agent who will collect them on our behalf.

If a Black & Decker product becomes defective due to faulty materials, workmanship or lack of conformity, within 24 months from the date of purchase, Black & Decker guarantees to replace defective parts, repair products subjected to fair wear and tear or replace such products to ensure minimum inconvenience to the customer unless:
