Thank you for purchasing the INNOLIVING Mosquitoes Lamp, a safe and effective method to eliminate mosquitoes, sand flies and other annoying insects. This device does not use hazardous chemicals to humans and environment. Before use, read all warnings and instructions for use and keep this manual safe for future references.

Mosquitoes Lamp

Visual incentives - such as colour contrasts, blue light and ultraviolet light - are recognized as strong attractions for night-time insects. Mosquitoes and several other annoying insects are attracted by the special light of the INNOLIVING lantern and remain electrocuted at the slightest contact with the electrified grid.

The lamp has a modern design with high efficiency and safety technologies.

The product is equipped with ultra-violet light completely harmless to humans and animals.

The external grid protects against accidentally touching the grill. There are no chemicals, no vapours, no smells, no spray or pollutants.

The lamp is ideal for indoor use

WARNING AND SAFETY NORMS

- Keep all packing material (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) out of reach of the children, since they are potential sources of danger and must be disposed of as provided by law.

- After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the authorised after sale centre.

- This product is for indoor use only.

- There is a risk of electric shock if the jet of a garden hose is directed on the device.

- This product is not suitable for use in barns, stables and similar locations

- Never expose the unit to rain, do not forget it outdoors or expose it to extremely dirty environments.

- The appliance must not be used in places where flammable or explosive powders or vapors may be present.

- Keep this product out of reach of children (≥2.0 m)

- This product can be used by children over 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if under supervision or if they have received instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks involved.

- Cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by children without supervision.

- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not remove any internal fixed part to adjust the product. In case of failure or malfunction, turn it off and do not tamper. For any repair, contact an authorized service center.

- If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the authorized after sale center in order to prevent any risk.

- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage

or if it has a leak.

• Do not force the electrical connection wire. Never use the electric wire to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
• Make sure the cable are without knots or folds.
• Check the state of the electric cord. Damaged or knotted cord increase the risk of electric shock.
• DO NOT use the appliance with damp or wet hands or feet.
• Do not use the device if it is wet or with traces of moisture
• Do not let cord or plug touching hot surfaces.
  • Always make sure that there is enough space around the unit for air circulation.
• Before use, ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance. The rating label is on the product.
• When using extension leads, hold the plug away from moisture and avoid damage to the cable.
• Do not cover the unit as this could create danger of overheating.
• Do not insert any objects in the opening of the appliance.
• Use the appliance only for mentioned purpose, namely as appliance for domestic use. Any other use must be considered improper and therefore dangerous.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for any eventual damage caused by improper or faulty use.
• Do not use the appliance in bathroom or in the immediate surroundings of showers, bath-tubs or swimming pools.
• Do not try to reach the product if it has fallen into water. In this case disconnect the switch of main power and remove the plug from the socket.
• Do not use the appliance near curtains, sofas or other flammable materials.
• Do not apply timer or similar devices to the product that can determine the operating time automatically; there is a risk of fire if the product is covered or positioned incorrectly.
• Do not disassemble the product or touch internal components when the unit is powered, which may result in electric shock.
• Disconnect the appliance before cleaning it. Use a suitable brush to clean the high voltage grid, clean the insect collection tray every week.

WARNING: The replacement of the lamps must be performed only and exclusively by the manufacturer or by authorized personnel.

HOW IT WORKS

Visual incentives such as colour contrasts, blue light and ultraviolet light are recognized as strong attractions for night-time insects. Mosquitoes, sand flies and other annoying insects are attracted by the special light of the INNOLIVING lamp and remain electrocuted at the slightest contact with the electrified grid. To optimize the attractiveness of the device it is necessary to use it in conditions of low environmental brightness. Check that the network voltage data shown on the rating label correspond to those of the local electrical network, and place the lantern:

- resting on shelves, furniture or other flat and well-stable surfaces

- hanging from the hook at the upper end of the device

Regardless of the chosen placement keep the device out of the reach of children and pets. Never expose the devise to rain, and do not connect it to the mains when wet. Insert the plug into the electrical outlet.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before proceed with any maintenance operation, disconnect the device from the mains. Rotate and remove the tray placed at the bottom of the device and clean it from any residues of insects. Clean the high voltage grid and all the other parts of the unit using a dry brush.

Clean every week or more often if the electric grid is completely covered with insects.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE WATER FOR CLEANING AND NEVER PLACE THE PRODUCT IN WATER.

INFORMATION TO USERS according to Legislative Decree No. 49 of March 14, 2014 “2012/19/ UE Implementation of the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)” The crossed-out dustbin symbol indicates that the product at the end of its life must be collected separately from other waste.

The user should, therefore, take the equipment with the essential components at the end of its useful life to the separate collection center of electronic and 14 electrical waste, or return it to the retailer when purchasing new equipment of equivalent type, in ratio of one to one, or one to zero for devices with larger side less than 25 CM. The separate collection for the decommissioned equipment for recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal contributes to avoid possible negative effects on the environment and human health and promotes recycling of the materials. Improper disposal of the product by the user entails the application of administrative sanctions according to Legislative Decree No. 49 of 14 March 2014.
