Thank you for purchasing INNOLIVING digital scale INN-141 with Bluetooth connection through which you can detect and to see displayed on your smartphone or tablet your weight and the information relating to your physical fitness.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS AND SAFETY RULES

Only use the scales for the purposes indicated in this instruction manual that is as DIGITAL SCALE for domestic use. Any other type of use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous.

Packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children as they have the potential to be dangerous and their disposal should be carried out according to the current regulations

These scales should not be used to weigh objects or substances in commercial transactions, to produce medicines, to calculate tolls, tariffs, taxes, premiums, fines, remunerations, indemnities or fees of a similar kind determined by weight.

These scales are to be used for keeping one's own personal weight under control, and

are not to be used for diagnostic purposes or for medical treatment. Values which may seem unusual or outside the norm should always be discussed with your doctor.

In order to avoid danger to the user of this device, the doses of any drug or therapy prescribed by one's own doctor should in no circumstances be modified on the basis of data calculated by this device.

To ensure accurate results, keep the scale away from magnetic fields as this may negatively affect the transfer of data or damage the device.

As a precision instrument, the scale must always be treated with care. Do not drop the scale, do not jump on it or subject it to shocks.

Do not use if pregnant.

Do not climb on the edge of the scale as this may leads to falls or make measurements inaccurate.

Do not use the scale on tiled or wet floor, as this could lead to falls.

Make sure the surface is clean and dry before weighing, as it may become slippery when wet.

Do not place the scale on an uneven floor, on a soft surface or on a carpet, because such use could result in unreliable data.

PRINCIPLE OF MEASURING FAT MASS / BONES / MUSCLES and AVERAGE BASAL METABOLISM

This scale operates according to the analysis of bioelectric impedance method (B.I.A.). It allows to determine within a few seconds the percentage of body parts by means of an electric current not perceptible and completely harmless. The measurement of electrical resistance (impedance) and the inclusion in the calculation of constants and personal data (age, height, gender, physical activity level) is used to determine the percentage of fat and other components of the body.

Muscle tissue and water have good electrical conductivity, and therefore a low resistance. The bones and adipose tissues, on the contrary, have low conductivity, as the high degree of resistance of the fat cells and bone almost completely prevent the passage of the current.

Do not forget that the values obtained from the diagnostic scale represent an approximation of the medical data analysis of the body. Only a specialist can perform with suitable methods (e.g. CT) and determine body fat, body water, muscle mass and bone structure accurately.

The basal metabolic rate is the amount of energy used in thermal neutral conditions from a conscious subject, but in a state of complete physical and mental relaxation, fasted for at least 12 hours.

In other words, the basal metabolic rate is the minimum energy needed to maintain vital functions and wakefulness.

In a healthy and sedentary individual, it represent at least the 65-75% of the total energy expenditure.

It is higher in men than women

It decreases with age: between 60 and 90 years drops by about 8% per decade

This decline can be slowed by an adequate physical activity.

Limitations

During the detection of body fat and other values, you can be obtained different and not plausible results in the following cases:

• Children under 10 years old,
• Professional Athletes and Bodybuilders,
- Pregnant women,
- Persons with fever, undergoing dialysis, with symptoms of edema or osteoporosis,
- Persons taking cardiovascular medications (on the heart and vascular system),
• People taking vasoconstrictor or vasodilator drugs,
- People with significant anatomical differences in the relationship between the legs and the overall size of the body (legs considerably longer or lower than normal).

BATTERY INSTALLATION

Open the battery compartment located under the scale. Remove the isolating tag and close the battery compartment.

Rechargeable batteries are not suitable for this type of scale.

When the unit is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery, as matter of fact its leaking can damage the appliance. As quality of batteries varies from brand to brand, the product warranty does not include damages to the product caused by battery acid leakage.

The battery must be inserted respecting the polarity.

UNIT SELECTION

Select the weight unit kg/lb/0:0 lb by the key placed near the battery compartment.

Bluetooth CONNECTION AND INNOLIVING APP

Make sure that the smartphone or tablet has Bluetooth turned on. It is not necessary to go in the settings of Bluetooth to make the synchronization and connect the devices, because the scale is recognized automatically by turning on the App "Innoliving". Before first use, download and install Innofit App from the App Store. Launch the App You must first create a personal profile, by entering all the required data. You can also add your own pictures, clicking on the shape of the profile.

Press Add Users on Home to add to add additional personal profiles, entering all the

required data. It is very important that all users of the scale follow the on-screen instructions to register and complete a personal profile as the main data such as height and age are required to measure the BMI (Body Mass Index).

In case you have entered more than one profile, you can choose the user to use by sliding the various profiles in the Home.

To make the measurement, click on the selected profile, or go direct to the Measurement

Place the scale on a flat and stable surface (carpets are not recommended). Stand with both feet on the scale for weight measurement, the scale display will show the weight after a few seconds. The scale immediately detects the mobile device and the Bluetooth symbol on the scale lights up and becomes from gray to blue.

Note: to obtain an accurate measurement, when you step on the scale always keep a standing position trying to distribute the weight evenly and avoiding moving.

After a few seconds the weight and body mass index BMI will also be displayed on your mobile screen.

The app also displays helpful tips to maintain or improve your physical fitness.

In the "History" area, you can view the measurements of the day, week, month and annual of your own weight.

You can erase data stored in the user profile, accessing the HISTORY area. Click on the measurement that you want to delete Fig. 6, you will find the details of the detected values fig.7. To delete, press "Delete".

In this area you can:

• Change language
• Download and receive an email report
• Synchronize with Apple Health app or Google fit.

To export the data, click "Export Scale Report", the app will display a window where you can specify the period for which you want to receive a measurement report. The report will be sent to the email indicated during registration of the user profile.

To synchronize the APP with APPLE HEALTH or Google Fit, you must first check that the app HEALTH or Google Fit see among the various sources also Innoliving, see fig. 11 and 12 here below, and then allow access to the recorded data.

Low battery indicator

If the scale does not turn on or shows "Lo", the battery may be dead; replace the battery

Overload indicator

If the display shows "OL", the scale is overloaded (over 180Kg). If the display shows "Err", there were errors during the measurement of body fat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the scale with a damp cloth to avoid any water infiltration. Never use chemical cleaning agents. Do not immerse in water or other liquids. Do not step on the scale with wet feet. Do not store the scale in an upright position, this fact facilitates the depletion of the batteries.

When the balance is not used does not allow anything to rest on the platform weights. Keep away dust and moisture; do not expose to the sun or to excessive temperatures.

Do not open or tamper with the device: repairs must be performed only by authorized personnel; otherwise the warranty expires.

In case of malfunction:

• Check that the batteries are inserted correctly
• Check that the scale is placed on a flat and stable surface and then proceed to the measurement
• Make sure not to be climbed on the scales before the display will be reset to zero (0.0 Kg)
• If the scale does not connect to the app, make sure the device is connected via Bluetooth to the scale and that the device has the Bluetooth version required by the system

The crossed-out dustbin symbol indicates that the product at the end of its life must be collected separately from other waste.
