How do I use the kettle for the first time?

Before first use, fill the kettle to the MAX mark with water, boil, and discard the water. Repeat this process at least three times to remove any manufacturing residues or metallic taste. Then the kettle is ready for normal use.

How do I open the lid?

Twist the lid anti-clockwise to open, and clockwise to lock it shut. Always close the lid fully before operation.

Does the kettle automatically shut off?

Yes, the kettle has an automatic shut-off feature that activates once the water reaches boiling point. You can also manually switch it off at any time using the ON/OFF switch.

How does the keep warm function work?

After boiling, the double-wall vacuum construction keeps water warm for up to 4 hours without power. The temperature remains approximately 80°C for the first 2 hours and 65°C for the next 2 hours.

Can I immerse the kettle in water to clean it?

No, never immerse the kettle, power base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. Only wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Neither the kettle nor its parts are dishwasher safe.

How often should I descale the kettle?

Descaling should be performed every few months to prevent limescale buildup that can damage the appliance. Use a commercial descaler available at supermarkets or department stores, and follow the product instructions.

What is the maximum water level?

The maximum water level is indicated by the MAX mark inside the kettle. Do not fill above this level to avoid boiling over. The minimum required water level is just enough to cover the heating element.

Can I heat anything other than water?

No, this kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not use it for milk, oil, or other liquids, as they can damage the appliance and create a safety hazard.

What should I do if the kettle does not turn on?

First, check that the power cord is properly connected and that the outlet is functioning. Ensure the lid is fully closed. If the kettle still does not turn on, it may have boil-dry protection activated; let it cool down and refill with water before trying again.

Is the lid leakproof?

SAFETY WARNINGS - Please read carefully!

• Before power connection, make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the packaging.
• The kettle will switch off automatically once boiled. You may switch the kettle off manually using the ON/OFF switch.
• Once boiled, the Double Wall Vacuum Construction will keep the water warm for up to 4 hours.
• ALWAYS place the kettle on a flat, stable surface.
• TAKE CARE when using the kettle - whilst the body and handle will remain comfortably cool, the base of the kettle may become hot during use.
• DO NOT boil the kettle without filling water.
• DO NOT immerse the kettle, power base or power cord in water or any other liquid. DO NOT allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of the kettle.
• DO NOT let the power cord hang down where a child could grab it or the kettle could be knocked over.
• DO NOT fill with water to more than the maximum level.
• DO NOT remove or open lid when the water is boiling.
• MAKE SURE the kettle is switched off before lifting it off the power base.
• AVOID contact with any steam coming out of the spout area when pouring and or/refilling.
• ONLY use the base and power cord supplied.
• This appliance is NOT intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its use by a person responsible for their safety.
• Although the lever mechanism on the lid is designed to limit spillage of hot water, it is NOT, for safety reasons, leakproof. The kettle SHOULD NOT be inverted when full.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Fill the kettle up to the MAX water mark in the kettle and start boiling. It is recommended that you fill, boil and empty the water at least 3 times to clear the kettle of any tiny particles or metal/ plastic taste of kettle.

USING THE KETTLE

Filling: Remove the kettle from the power base before filling water. Remove the lid (as shown in the diagram above) and fill with water as required. DO NOT fill over the MAX water mark inner the kettle.

Switching On: Check that the lid is fully closed. Plug the power cord into the mains and press the On/Off switch.

Switching Off: When the water is boiled, the kettle will be automatically switched off. You can also stop the boiling process manually at any time, simply by pressing the On/Off switch.

Pouring water: Pour water out by pressing the water output lever.

After boiling, water can be kept warm for 4 hours in the kettle without power supply.

First two hours - about 80°C

Next two hours - about 65°C

CARE AND CLEANING

• Firstly, read the instructions in the section entitled 'SAFETY WARNINGS'.
• Before cleaning, unplug your kettle and cool it down completely.
• Wipe with a damp cloth, then let it dry. AVOID using abrasive cleaning agents.
• DO NOT immerse the kettle, power base, power cord or plug in the water at any time.
• The kettle, power base, power cord and plug are NOT Dishwasher Safe.
• ALWAYS unplug your kettle when not in use.

DESCALING

The major cause of damage to kettle is limescale and your kettle will require regular maintenance to ensure that it continues to work properly. Limescale build up is deposits on over time usage and block the important parts of the kettle and to damage the normal working.

Important notes:

• Descale the kettle in every few months.
• Do not let limescale build up before descaling.
• Descaler can be found in supermarket or department stores.
