You may already be familiar with using a similar product, but do please take time to read these instructions - they have been written to ensure you get the very best from your purchase.

Safety is important

For yours and others safety please read the instructions before using the appliance. Please keep this instruction in a safe place for the further use. If you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions too. Remove all packaging, but keep it until you are satisfied that the appliance is working.

Important Safeguards:

When use electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following,

• This appliance is intended for cutting body hair in nose and ears as well as sideburns and the neckline. Please use this appliance for its intended use only.
• It is intended for home use and not suitable for commercial purposes (in barbers etc.).
• Do not use the trimmer on children. Keep the unit out of children's reach.
• Keep packing material away from children.
• Batteries can be highly threatening if swallowed. Therefore, keep battery and trimmer out of children's reach. If a battery has been swallowed seek medical advice immediately.
• Do not insert the trimmer more than 0.5 cm into ear or nostril as you could injure your eardrum or the mucous membrane in your nose.
• Before using the trimmer, make sure the cutting head or detail attachment is securely fitted.
• The battery supplied with the trimmer must not be recharged or reactivated by other means, take apart, thrown into fire or short circuited.

• When cleaning the unit, make sure the battery cover is firmly closed.

• Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid.

• Switch the unit off after use, return the cutting head to the trimmer (if removed), and fit the protective cap.
• Remove a spent battery from the unit straight away as it could leak and cause damage.
• Do not operate appliance if it is damaged in any manner. Call an authorized Fakir Service for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.

Inserting battery:

• Ensure the unit is set to 'off'.
• Simply unscrew the base of the main unit to access the battery compartment.
• Insert a fresh battery, observing the correct polarity as indicated in this diagram.
• Screw the base firmly back onto the body of the unit.

Usage: Trimming ear hair:

• Switch the trimmer on and carefully insert it into the outer parts of your ear.
• Carefully move the trimmer along hairy parts of your ear. The unwanted hair will be cut instantly.

Trimming nasal hair:

• Switch the trimmer on and carefully insert it into the front of the nostril.
• Remove nasal hear by carefully moving the trimmer in a circular motion. The unwanted hair will be cut instantly.

Defining outlines:

• Switch the trimmer off.
• Turn the cutting head anticlockwise and take it off.
• Place the detail trimmer on the unit and turn it tight clock-wise.
• Move the detail trimmer at a shallow angle across the skin from top to bottom without applying pressure. Do not move the unit from bottom to top and do not guide it sideways. You could cut yourself.

Cleaning:

• Please switch the appliance off.
• Wipe the outer of your unit with a soft, damp cloth.
• Please do not immerse your appliance in water or any other liquid.
• If the unit is not to be used for over 3 weeks, take the battery off from the appliance.
• For cleaning the circle cutting blade, simply turn the circle cutting blade to right side for taking out the whole blade, remove any hairs left in the cutting blade using the cleaning brush supplied after that, clean the circle cutting blade under the running water. The blades are stainless steel.
  • Always keep the blades dry completely, before putting them on your appliance again.
• Never wash the circle cutting blade under the water when it is fitted to your nose trimmer.
• Before cleaning the detail trimmer, switch the appliance off.
• Simply turn the detail trimmer to right side for taking out from the unit.
• Twist the head off the body and push the blades away from the head as shown in the diagram.

• Clean the components, then rinse the head and blades. Shake off any excess water and carefully dry them with a piece of tissue.
• Add a drop of lubricating oil between the blades periodically to keep them moving smoothly.
• When reassembling the parts, ensure that you place the blades in their correct position.
• Never wash the detail trimmer under the water when it is fitted to your nose trimmer.
