Important Safety Measures

Fundamental safety measures shall always be followed when using electrical home appliances:

* Read all instructions.
* Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles or caps.
* For protection against electric shocks do not immerse the cable, plug or the body into water or other liquids.
* This product is not suitable for use of people (including children) with reduced physical sensibility, mental capabilities and also inexperienced and without sufficient knowledge or without being under the supervision or direction of someone who is responsible for their safety or not given required instructions to use this product by these persons.

* Unplug from outlet after use and before cleaning. Allow the product to sufficiently cool down before mounting or removing any parts and cleaning the product.

* If the water heater is overfilled, it may spill over.
* This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance of the appliance shall not be performed by unattended children.
* Cooking pans, slow cookers, steam cookers, rice cookers, coffee makers, teapots, egg boilers and milk heaters shall cover the following instruction. (EN 60335-2-15, A11:10)

  • Children under 8 are unsuitable for using the device. Children above 8 should use the device only in company with an observer and clean the device.

GROUNDING PLUG

Plug of this electrical home appliance is grounded to reduce electric shock risk. (3 terminals). If the plug does not properly fit in the outlet, please consult a qualified electrician. Do not change the outlet or do not use an adapter.

BEFORE FIRST USE

* Read all the instructions and keep for future reference.
* Remove the entire package.
* Firstly boiled water shall be emptied.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

* Filter is installed to the water heater before dispatch. If dislocated, reassemble before use. Hold the filter carefully and insert into the socket in filter in tap in the lid. Push lightly and filter will click into place.

- Do not operate the water heater without the filter is located in its place because water may spill over during boiling.

- Do not remove the filter when the water heater is still hot.

* Fill the water heater between maximum and minimum levels as indicated in the water level indicator.
* Note: Do not try to fill the water heater when the power cord is installed (in 'On' position). Do not use the appliance for anything other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate the interior of water heater.

Do not fill the appliance over the Max level indicated on water level indicator. Overfilling may cause water to spill over during boiling.

* Push On / Off button to switch to 'On' position. Control light will turn on indicating that the water heater is in boiling phase. When water is boiled start button will automatically switch to 'Off' position and control light will turn off.
* If you wish to use the water heater again, allow heat safety circuit to cool down for 15-20 seconds and then switch on / off button to On position. If on/off button is not in 'On' position, water is hot enough to be used without re-heating.
* After your water heating process is done, unplug the device. Since the lid and surface will be hot, hold the water heater only by its handle.
* After use, leave the water heater on a heat proof surface.
* If the water heater accidentally turns on when empty, heat adjuster will automatically turn off the device in order to prevent it from overheating. If this is the case, unplug the power cord and allow water heater to cool down before refilling.
* When the device is not used, it is recommended that the power cord is unplugged.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

* Pull the plug out before cleaning. Empty the water inside and wait for water heater to cool down
* If necessary, remove the filter and clean and rinse it under running water. You can remove the filter by holding between your thumb and index finder and lightly pulling from right and left sides.
* Furring may occur within the interior of water heater in normal conditions of use and may result in some color variations. Furring accumulated in water heater can be eliminated by boiling equal amount of vinegar and water (500ml/2 glasses of each is recommended). When water boils allow the mixture remain in device for a few hours or overnight. Empty the mixture and fill the water heater up to the MAX level with fresh water. Boil and empty water. Repeat this procedure for intense furring.

NOTE: This calcification intervals might be delayed by emptying remaining water every time and refilling the device.

* Do not use abrasive cleaners.
* Do not immerse the power cord and water heater into water

Short power cord is provided to reduce winding and tripping hazards. Provided that required care is taken, an extension cord might be used. If an extension cord is used,

indicated electrical value of the portable power supply or extension cord shall be at least equal to the electrical value of the electric device.

If the electric device has a grounding plug, extension cord shall also be 3-wire grounded cable. Extension cord shall be located on a lathe or table in a way that does not form curls which children may pull or trip and fall.
