- This product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use. Do not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without supervision.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
- Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
- Switch off and unplug the product before cleaning and when it is not in use.
- If an extension cord is used the cross-sectional area of the wires must be dimensioned for the power supply to the product.
- Keep the product under
careful supervision when it is used by, or near children or persons with functional disorders.
- Keep small children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product.
- Never leave the product unattended when switched on.
- Never use the product for anything other than its intended purpose.
- Do not put the product on, or near a hot stove, or in a hot oven.
- Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Do not use the product if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the power cord or plug are damaged. Do not dismantle the product or try to repair it – risk of electric shock. Take the product to an authorised service centre to
be checked, repaired or adjusted.
- Do not use the product outdoors.

USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Remove all packaging material.
- Clean the hot plates with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Grease the hot plates with a little butter or cooking oil.
• Make sure that no water gets into the waffle iron. - The first time the waffle iron is used it may smell a little. This is quite normal and soon stops.
USE
- Plug the plug into a suitable power point. The status light goes on to show that preheating is in progress.
- The status light goes off when the waffle iron has reached the correct cooking temperature.
- Pour a suitable amount of the mixture on the bottom plate.

NOTE:
Do not use disposable plastic dispensers that can melt on contact with the hot plates.
- Carefully close the lid and check that it fits in place. Do not press too hard, this can cause the mixture to ooze out between the plates.
- Bake for about 3–5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Take out the ready waffle with a plastic or wood utensil. Do not use sharp or metal
utensils that can damage the nonstick coating.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Wipe the hot plates with a damp cloth.
- Never immerse the waffle iron in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive detergents or implements.
- Do not wash the waffle iron in a dishwasher.
NOTE:
Switch off the waffle iron, unplug the plug and allow the waffle iron to cool before cleaning.
STORAGE
- Unplug and wait until the waffle iron has completely cooled before putting it away.
- The waffle iron can be stored up to save space.
