USE

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

  • Remove all packaging material.
  • Clean the hot plates with a damp cloth or sponge.
  • Grease the hot plates with a little butter or cooking oil.
    • Make sure that no water gets into the waffle iron.
  • The first time the waffle iron is used it may smell a little. This is quite normal and soon stops.

USE

  1. Plug the plug into a suitable power point. The status light goes on to show that preheating is in progress.
  2. The status light goes off when the waffle iron has reached the correct cooking temperature.
  3. Pour a suitable amount of the mixture on the bottom plate.

NOTE:

Do not use disposable plastic dispensers that can melt on contact with the hot plates.

  1. Carefully close the lid and check that it fits in place. Do not press too hard, this can cause the mixture to ooze out between the plates.
  2. Bake for about 3–5 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Take out the ready waffle with a plastic or wood utensil. Do not use sharp or metal

utensils that can damage the nonstick coating.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING

  • Wipe the hot plates with a damp cloth.
  • Never immerse the waffle iron in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not use abrasive detergents or implements.
  • Do not wash the waffle iron in a dishwasher.

NOTE:

Switch off the waffle iron, unplug the plug and allow the waffle iron to cool before cleaning.

STORAGE

  • Unplug and wait until the waffle iron has completely cooled before putting it away.
  • The waffle iron can be stored up to save space.
