Frequently Asked Questions - 802-670 Menuett

How do I use the waffle maker for the first time?
Remove all protective plastic, wipe cooking surfaces with a damp cloth, and dry. Plug in; the status light will turn on. Add a little frying fat, wait for the light to go off, then pour batter and close lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Why does the status light turn on and off during use?
This is normal. The thermostat regulates the temperature by cycling the heating element. The light indicates when the element is active.
Can I use metal utensils on the cooking plates?
No, metal utensils can scratch the non-stick coating. Use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils instead.
How long should I cook a waffle?
Typically 2-3 minutes, depending on the batter consistency and desired browning. Avoid opening the lid too early.
How do I clean the waffle maker?
Unplug and let it cool completely. Wipe the exterior and cooking plates with a soft cloth moistened with mild detergent. Do not immerse in water.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Stop using the appliance immediately. Have the cord replaced by an authorized service centre or qualified person to ensure safety.
Is the waffle maker safe for children to use?
Children aged 8 and above can use it under supervision. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children under 8. Cleaning must be done by children over 8 only under supervision.
Can I leave the waffle maker unattended?
No, never leave it unattended while in use, especially near children. The appliance gets very hot and steam escapes when opening the lid.
What is the waffle diameter?
The waffle diameter is 165 mm, producing one round waffle at a time.
Does the waffle maker have automatic shut-off?
No, it does not have an automatic shut-off feature. You must unplug it after use.
