Save these instructions for future reference.
General safety instructions
- The appliance is only intended for household use.
- Unplug the power cord before cleaning and when the appliance is not in use. Switch off the appliance immediately and unplug the power cord if it is not working properly. Do not pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
- Place the appliance out of the reach of children. Make sure the power cord is not left hanging down.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Regularly check the appliance and its power cord for damage. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- Do not attempt to repair the appliance. Any repairs must be carried out by an authorised service centre or other qualified person.
- A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to ensure safe use.
- Protect the appliance and the power cord from heat, sunlight, water, moisture and sharp edges.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended. Switch off the product when not in use.
- Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Never expose the appliance, the power cord or plug to water or any other liquid. Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
- Immediately unplug the power cord if the appliance gets wet.
• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than the one it is intended to be used for. - Do not touch the water in the kettle.
- The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional disorders, or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge on how to use it, unless they have received instructions concerning the use of the appliance from someone who is responsible for their safety.
- Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
- Only use the appliance with the supplied base.
• WARNING: Do not overfill the kettle, this can cause boiling water to overflow. - A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to ensure safe use.
Special safety instructions
- Only fill the kettle with cold water.
- The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. markings.
- Switch off the appliance before lifting the kettle off the base.
• Always make sure the lid is properly closed.
- Do not expose the base and/or the outside of the kettle to water.
- Do not use any other kettle with the base.

OPERATION
Before using for the first time
- Fill the kettle with clean, cold water and allow it to boil. Repeat once.
Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill. Use the level markings.
- Put the kettle on the base.

Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.

The appliance is intended for 220–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

Put the power switch in the I position. The status light shows that the water is warming up.

When the water has boiled, the appliance switches off automatically.

Unplug the power cord.

Do not open the lid while pouring out.

The appliance is intended for household use, or for use in staff rooms, hotel rooms or other similar places.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
- Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
- If necessary, wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- The lime filter can be removed for cleaning.
