Frequently Asked Questions - SID-122305 Emerio

How do I descale the iron?
Use the self-cleaning function: fill the tank with water, set the steam control to max, unplug the iron, hold it horizontally over a sink, press the self-clean button until water runs clear. Repeat monthly.
What should I do if the iron stops producing steam?
Check water level, ensure temperature is high enough for steam, and descale if needed. Also verify that the steam control is not set to dry ironing.
Can I use tap water in the iron?
Yes, but we recommend using a mix of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water to reduce mineral buildup. Do not use pure distilled or bottled water.
How long does it take to heat up?
About 30-45 seconds to reach optimal ironing temperature. The indicator light turns off when ready.
What does the auto shut-off feature do?
The iron automatically turns off if left untouched for 8 minutes in vertical position or 30 seconds on its soleplate. It prevents accidents and saves energy.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Wait for the iron to cool, then wipe with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a soft cloth with mild vinegar solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Is the iron suitable for vertical steaming?
Yes, the iron has a vertical steam function. Hang garments on a hanger, hold the iron upright, and press the steam boost button. Keep a safe distance.
What is the warranty period?
Emerio typically offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Check your local retailer for specific terms.
Can I iron while the water tank is empty?
Yes, the iron can be used for dry ironing without water. Ensure the steam control is set to 0 to avoid damage.
Why does water leak from the iron?
Leakage may occur if the temperature is too low for steam, the iron is not preheated, or the anti-drip valve is clogged. Ensure proper heating and use self-cleaning.
