Frequently Asked Questions - HMC-300RD Heinner

How do I use the Heinner HMC-300RD vegetable chopper?
First, assemble the chopper blade into the glass bowl. Add food (cut into small pieces, max 500g for meat). Place the lid and press down. Put the motor body on top, ensuring it locks. Plug in, hold the body with one hand, and press the desired speed button (I or II). Work for no more than 30 seconds.
Can I process bones or frozen food with this chopper?
No. The chopper is not designed for tough foods like bones, frozen meat, ice, dried beans, or other hard items. Only use it for soft to medium-hard foods such as vegetables, boneless meat, and garlic.
What is the maximum continuous operating time?
The maximum continuous working time is 30 seconds. If you need more processing, turn off the machine, let it rest for 2 minutes, then operate again. After three cycles, let the motor cool for at least 15 minutes.
What should I do if the motor stops or emits a burning smell?
If the motor stops, it may be due to overheating protection. Unplug and let it cool for 20-30 minutes. A slight smell during first uses is normal. If the smell persists after several uses, contact service.
How do I clean the Heinner HMC-300RD?
Unplug before cleaning. The glass bowl and accessories can be rinsed with water and dried. Do not immerse the motor body in water; wipe it with a damp cloth. The blade is sharp; clean carefully to avoid injury.
What if the blade gets stuck or the machine vibrates abnormally?
If the blade is stuck, food may be wrapped around it. Unplug, remove food, and cut into smaller pieces. Abnormal vibration may be due to uneven food distribution. Turn off, redistribute food, and restart.
What is the capacity of the glass bowl?
The glass bowl has a capacity of 1.2 liters. Do not fill beyond 1/2 of the bowl to ensure effective chopping and avoid overloading.
Does the chopper have a safety mechanism?
Yes. The motor will not start if the lid is not properly placed. Additionally, the unit has overheat protection that automatically cuts power if the motor gets too hot.
Can I use the chopper for hot ingredients?
No. The maximum temperature for ingredients is 50°C. Do not use hot water or put the bowl in a microwave, as the glass may break.
