Make sure that the voltage (see name plate) and your home power supply match.

The mains plug should only be inserted into a correctly installed 220-240 V \~ 50/60 Hz socket with earthing contact. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a long cord. An extension cord may be used with care, however, the marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical rating of this appliance.

The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
• Remove all packaging
• Clean the Cooking Plates by wiping a sponge or cloth dampened in warm water.

DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT AND DO NOT RUN WATER DIRECTLY ON THE COOKING SURFACES.

• Dry with a cloth or paper towel.
- For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates with a little cooking oil or cooking spray.

Notice: When your Health Grill is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.

ATTENTION: Don't leave wooden T-scraper permanently on the Hot plate!

RECIPES FOR SWEET CREPES AND SAVOURY BUCKWHEAT GALETTES

Wheat flour crepes:

For 15 crepes-In a bowl, place: 100 to 125 gr. Sugar

a pinch of sea salt

2 eggs

25gr. melted butter or 1 tablespoon of cooking oil

1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring

3/4 glass of water (10 cl.)

Beat together and gradually add 250 gr. of wheat flour and half a glass of milk (taken from 1/2 litre of semi-skimmed milk) until you obtain a thick but lump-free batter. Then mix in the rest of the milk.

Buckwheat flour savoury galettes:

for 20 galettes—In a bowl, place: 250 gr. buckwheat flour

1 tablespoon wheat flour

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 egg

a 12 cl. Glass of water.

Mix to obtain a perfectly lump-free batter. Gradually add 3 further glasses of milk.

USING THE SPREADER DEVICE

The words in bold type will remind you of the important points to pay attention to:

1. Your crepe maker is plugged in and the thermostat cursor on 3/4 power. The light indicator light up when the desired temperature has been reached. The thermostat automatically regulates heat temperature throughout the period of use.

Lightly grease the Hot plate and its guiding groove using a cotton cloth moistened with cooking oil. Check that the spreader is perfectly clean and let it stead in the water container.

1. a) Using the left hand, fill the ladle right to the top.

b) Using the right hand, place the spreader facing you in the groove on the griddle.

1. Pour the batter into the spreader in one go, without spreading it around, and immediately turn in clockwise direction. The first turn must be done in 4 seconds.

Gently continue to rotate until you have spread the surplus batter which remains in the spreader, the replace the spreader in the water container. The batter surplus can also be spread with the wooden scraper.

*** You must begin rotation while pouring the batter into the spreader.

1. Allow the pancake to cook for about 10 to 15 seconds before turning it over. Gently slide the wooden spatula under the edge of the crepe.

2. Give a half twist to your wrist and pick the pancake right up. Turn it over quickly so that it isn't over-cooked. For crepes to be eaten cold, slightly cook the second side.

3. Wipe the griddle and guiding groove with the cotton cloth. Clean the spreader with the brush and replace it in the water.

PRACTICAL ADVICES

Spreading is always done in clockwise direction and you must never come back in opposite direction.

The spreader device must exert slight pressure on the griddle during rotation.

Left handed users can invert the batter and the water container on the work station.

Always use lump-free batter. If necessary sieve it.

To re-heat crepes use thermostat positions lower than 3.

Some ready to use batters cannot be spread using the spreader device or the wooden scraper.

To ensure long life to the surface of your griddle, only use plastic or wooden accessories.

We advise you to keep the original packaging to store you appliance and accessories in.

CARE AND CLEANING

• Ensure that the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
• Let the unit completely cool down.
• The non-stick griddle does not require any special maintenance. After each crepe has been cooked, simply wipe it with a cotton cloth. Cotton is less aggressive than some kitchen papers.
• Do not use abrasive detergents. Any organic solvents or aggressive chemicals.
• Wipe outside with soft dry cloth when waffle maker is cold, never use metal polish.

DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY LIQUID

STORAGE

• Switch off and unplug the appliance, let it completely cool.
• Complete all requirements of chapter CARE AND CLEANING.
• Reel on the power cord.
• Keep the appliance in a dry cool place.

CAUTION: Pay attention not to run down the device. If you run down the device during operation, firstly unplug it. Some parts may be broken and device may be damaged during falling, in this case, have device checked by authorized service before operation.
