5. Leaving the kettle cord connected to outlet unattended is not recommended. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to performing maintenance. Do not pull the cord from the outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.
6. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.

7. Use original accessories only.

8. Do not leave the kettle running unattended.

9. Close supervision is necessary for operating the kettle near children! Never allow children to use the appliance alone to protect them against the risk of electric shock. Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which the appliance stands.
10. Keep the kettle away from hot surfaces and sources of heat (for example, hot plates).
11. Use the kettle only in accordance with the instructions given in this manual. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by the improper use of this appliance.

DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER!

CAUTION

1. Always use cold water when filling the kettle.
2. Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
3. Always make sure the lid is well closed.
4. The base and kettle body should not be wet.

5. Only use the kettle in combination with its original base.

6. The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. levels! Hot water may spurt out if the kettle is overfilled.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Boil clean water twice before using the appliance for the first time.

1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfi ll, watch the water level indicator.
2. Place the kettle on its base.
3. After plugging it in the electrical outlet, turn the switch to ON position. The On indicator signals heating of water.
4. When the water boils, the kettle automatically shuts down and the heating indicator switches off. The kettle can also be switched off manually at any time using the power switch.

Note: Once it shuts down, do not attempt to switch it forcibly back on, you could damage the mechanism of the switch.

1. Unplug the cord from the outlet.

2. Do not open the lid when pouring the water out.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Always unplug the plug of the power supply from the outlet prior to cleaning the kettle!
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and then wipe dry. Do not use sharp or abrasive agents, which could damage the surface, to clean the device.
- Remove the scale filter and rinse with clean water.
- Remove scale build up on a regular basis. To do so, use available materials designated for descaling kitchen appliances.
