Use the provided outer and inner cutting jigs (parts I and J) to mark and cut the solid or perforated covers. Clamp the jig to the side being discarded and cut along the guide. Always cut on the correct side of the cutting line.

Is this trim kit compatible with drywall?

No. The manual states the product is designed for plywood walls. Drywall alone cannot support the load. If drywall is present, it must be no thicker than 5/8" over the plywood.
