IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- Read all instructions carefully before using the kettle.
- Ensure that the voltage to be used matches that indicated on your appliance.
- Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged or immersed into water. Return the appliance to an authorized service centre for examination and repair. Never attempt to dismantle or temper with the appliance in any way.
• Never allow the electrical connections to become wet or immerse the kettle/power base in water.
• Never place the appliance within reach of children. Make sure that children cannot reach the cable.
• Make sure the kettle is always used on a flat and firm surface.
• Never place the mains connected base unit on a metal surface or metal tray for usage.
• Never use the kettle on/or near hot surfaces, or naked flames. - Never fill the kettle while it is still connected to the power supply. Never fill the kettle whilst it is on the base unit.
- Keep power cord away from hot or heated surfaces. Ensure that the cable does not hang over the edge of the work surface.
• Never fill the kettle with liquids other than water. - Never fill above MAX mark indicated on the water gauge or on the inside of the kettle. If the kettle is overfilled, hot water may be expelled.
- Never switch on the kettle without water inside or filled below the MIN mark.
• The appliance should not be left unattended when it is still plugged in.
• Make sure the kettle is disconnected from the mains supply when not in use.
• In the event of any malfunction, switch should be in the OFF position. - Always ensure that the switch is in the OFF position before removing the kettle from the power base. Never fix the switch permanently for any length of time in the ON position. This may damage the kettle or even result in serious injury.
- Avoid wrapping the cord around the appliance.
• This kettle is only to be used with the base unit provided.
• This appliance is for household use only. - Use this kettle only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to people.

APPLIANCEUSE
- Before the first use of the appliance, user is recommended to boil and discard full volume of water at least twice before consuming any water from kettle.
- Remove the kettle from the power base or disconnect from the power supply.
- Place the kettle beneath the tap and fill either through Spout (2) or with Hinged Lid (1) opened, to desired level. Always fill the kettle with enough water to cover the element (above the minimum mark). Do not fill above the maximum mark. Minimum and maximum marks are identified on the Water Level Gauge (6) and/or embossed markings in the inside of the kettle. Do not use hot tap water to fill the kettle and allow the cord water to run for three or four seconds before filling to ensure the water is fresh.
- After filling, place the kettle on Power Base (4).
- Ensure that ON/OFF Switch (7) is in OFF position, and that all electrical connections are dry and undamaged, then connect Power Base (4) to power source.
- Make sure Lid (1) is fitted correctly and securely before switching on. Failure to do this will result in disbursement of boiling water. Move Switch (7) to the ON position. Power Indicator (5) glows on during the boiling process. After water has reached boiling point, Switch will move automatically to OFF position and the heating process will stop.
- To interrupt the heating process at any time, move Switch (7) to the OFF position.
- Prior to moving the kettle or pouring water, unplug Power Base (4).
- Prior to re-boil freshly boiled water let the appliance to cool down for a few minutes before switching it on again. If you need to boil more fills of water in row make sure you take great care refilling the kettle whilst hot.
- Always unplug Power Base after usage.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Always disconnect the kettle from the mains when cleaning the one.
- Ensure the kettle is not hot and has had time to cool before cleaning
- Appliance should be regularly wiped (both inside and outside) using soft cloth and gentle liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive cleansers or materials, this will damage the finish of the appliance.
- In the course of normal usage, deposits will be seen to accumulate on the surface of the heating element if not removed. These deposits can significantly impair the operation and product life of the appliance. Regular descaling by the user is recommended as often as deposits are seen to cover large portions of the element. For descaling purposes use a solution of 5% household vinegar and 95% water. Pour the liquid so that it only covers the heating element. Boil once. Let stand for 10 minutes after shut-off. Pour out solution and rinse kettle. Repeat if necessary.
POSSIBLE MALFUNCTIONS
The list of possible malfunctions which result from palpation with the device is more low resulted. These malfunctions can be eliminated without the reference in the service centre, thanks to performance of requirements of the given operation manual (ways of elimination of malfunctions are resulted in the table). If you cannot define the problem reason, address in the authorized service centre. Do not try to repair your device independently.
