How to install the kitchen hood?

Installation should be done by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at least 65 cm above gas hobs and 50 cm above electric hobs. Use the provided installation kit and follow the manual's instructions for ducting or recirculation setup.

How do I clean the grease filter?

The aluminum mesh grease filter can be removed and washed with warm soapy water or in a dishwasher at low temperature. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling. Clean every month or more frequently for heavy use.

How to replace the charcoal filter?

For recirculation mode, the charcoal filter must be replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage. Release the filter clips, remove the old filter, insert a new one, and secure it back. Ensure the hood is switched off during replacement.

Can the hood operate in recirculation mode?

Yes, the Jocel JEGA007605 can work in recirculation mode by installing one or two charcoal filters (not included). This mode filters the air through the filters and returns it to the kitchen.

What is the noise level of the hood?

The noise level varies by speed. At maximum speed, it is around 55 dB, which is comparable to a normal conversation. Lower speeds are quieter.

How to change the light bulbs?

The hood uses LED lights (2 x 1.5 W). To replace, turn off power, remove the lamp cover or lens, gently pull out the LED module, and insert a compatible LED bulb. Avoid touching the new bulb with bare hands.

Why is the hood not working?

Check if the power cord is plugged in and the fuse is intact. Ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped. If it still doesn't work, the motor or control board might be faulty; contact customer service.

How to set the timer function?

The JEGA007605 model includes a timer that can be set to automatically turn off the hood after 15 or 30 minutes. Press the timer button (if available) until the desired time is selected. Refer to the manual for specific button combinations.

What is the warranty coverage?

Jocel typically offers a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, or normal wear of filters.

How to adjust the speed settings?

Use the push buttons on the control panel to select from three speed levels (low, medium, high). Press the button corresponding to the desired speed. Some models may have a boost function for maximum extraction.

Information and advice

CAUTION: Accessible parts may become not when used with cooking appliances.

In certain circumstances electrical appliance may be a danger hazard.

1. There must be adequate ventilation of the room when the cooker hood is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels.
2. Do not check the status of the filters while the cooker hood is operating.
3. Do not touch the light bulb within half an hour after appliance has been use.
4. Do not light a flame under the cooker hood.
5. Avoid opening gasometer when there is no pan on the stove, as it is damaging for the filters and a fire hazard.
6. Constantly check food frying to avoid overheated oil splashing and becoming a fire hazard.
7. Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.
8. Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
9. When the range hood and appliances supplied with energy Other than electricity are simultaneously in operation. The negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4x10bar).
10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
11. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. We recommend that after installation the bottom of the hood should be no less than 650mm and no more than 750mm above the stove's heating elements and burners.

Before installing the cooker hood, please first fix the damper flap on the air outlet of the hoods.

Connect universal hose, easy selecting the venting direction.

According to the Fig. 4, make sure the position of the hoods on the cabinet. Then use the stencil to drill four ∅7 holes on the cabinet. Fix four sets expanding plugs and screws aimed at the four holes.

The best distance between the bottom of machine and the cabinet on two sides should be less than 2mm. You should make sure that there is no distance between the upside and the cabinet, the gap to the back should be not more than 10mm, the plug should be easy to touch, then it will be easy to be assembled.

When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring or other hidden utilities.

The cooker hood is fully convertible for different venting direction.

Connect the hose (not supplied) with the air duct.

Vertical is the most common. If your kitchen has an attic space above, the ducting may be run up through the cupboard and attic to a roof cap.

The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.

Controls:

The telescopic board controls electrical power, just pulling out of the telescopic board, the hood can get electronic power, pull into of the telescopic board, the hood has no power.

And then, both side and under the front panel is both switches for lamp and motor. The lamp switch: Press the switch button on "0", the lamp is not light; Press the switch button on "I", the lamp is light; The others side, it is the switch of motor: "0" is not working position; Press the switch button on "I", the motor runs at the low speed; Press the switch button on "II", the motor runs at the high speed.

Information

Do not touch the light bulb within half an hour after appliance use. The lamp shall not be covered with thermal insulation or other material.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

It is recommendable to clean the metallic filter every three months by carrying out the following instructions:

• Remove the metallic filter from the cooker hood and wash it in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent, leaving to soak.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water and leave to dry.
• The metallic filter may also be washed in the dishwasher.
• The metallic filter may alter in color after several washes. This is not cause for customer complaint nor replacement of metallic filter.

3. The elimination of several faults of the scope of the guarantee is made for repair or replacement of defective parts, according to the discretion of our technical services. Defective parts are our property.
4. Are not covered under warranty damage caused by transportation, neglect or poor use, improper assembly or installation, as well as external influences such as: lightning strikes or power, flooding, humidity, etc.
