Frequently Asked Questions - Patpat GM-423 GoldMaster

How do I use the GoldMaster Patpat GM-423 popcorn machine?
Plug in the machine, add up to 100g of popcorn kernels into the popping chamber (use the included measuring cup), place a bowl under the chute, and press the power button. The machine will automatically shut off when popping is complete.
Can I add oil or butter before popping?
No, this is a hot air popper. Do not add oil or butter directly to the popping chamber. Use the butter melting tray on top to melt butter separately and drizzle over popped corn.
How do I clean the popcorn machine?
Unplug and let it cool completely. Remove the popping chamber and clean with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
What should I do if the machine stops working during use?
The machine has overheat protection. Unplug it and let it cool for 15-20 minutes. Check if the air vents are blocked. Plug it back in and try again.
Can I use flavored popcorn kernels?
Yes, but avoid kernels with excessive oil or sugar coatings as they may cause sticking or burning. Standard popcorn kernels work best.
How much popcorn does one batch make?
Approximately 3-4 quarts (about 12-16 cups) of popped popcorn, depending on kernel quality.
Is the popcorn machine safe for children to use?
The machine should be used under adult supervision. The exterior can get hot during operation, but the handle stays cool. Children should not touch the machine while it is on.
Why is my popcorn not popping?
Check that the popping chamber is properly assembled, the air vents are clear, and the kernels are not old or stale. Also ensure the machine is plugged into a working outlet.
Can I replace the heating element if it fails?
Yes, the heating element is replaceable. Contact GoldMaster customer support for a replacement part and instructions. We recommend having a qualified technician perform the replacement.
