9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding - type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding proop. The wide blade or the third proop are provided for your safety. What the provided plug does not hit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinutted particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the car/apparatus combination to avoid injury from 10-never. Deploy this apparatus during lightning storms or when unusual for long periods of time.
13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply can or plug is damaged. Liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moistens, does not open normally, or has been dropped.

Mains plug is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily upercible during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.

The lightning rash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be at sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The excitation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

This symbol indicates that this product incorporates double insulation between hazardous means voltage and user accessible parts.

Introduction

Volume Turn to adjust the volume. PM 10:00 AL Tuning Turn to tune the radio.

Power Press to turn the unit on or off.
Clock Press to begin setting the clock.
Alarm Set Press to begin setting the alarm.

Dock Connector Source Press to switch between Line In, iPo FM Radio, and AM Radio modes. POWER On Off LZZER LINE IN iPod FM AM AL SET CLOCK HOUR MIN AL On/Off Hour Press to adjust the hour. Minute Press to adjust the minute. Alarm On/Off Press to turn the alarm on or off.

Setup

Power

Plug the included AC/DC power adapter into the DC POWER INPUT on the dock and an AC power outlet to power the dock.

Battery Backup

The battery backup is intended for short power outages only. The clock radio's primary functions cannot run off of the battery backup alone.

Requires 2, AA-size, batteries (not included)

Connecting Speakers to the Unit

1. Connect the speaker cables, which are attached to the external speakers, to the Speaker Outputs located on the back of the unit.

Clock

Setting the Clock

1. In Power off mode, press and hold the Clock button.
2. While holding the Clock button press the Hour button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
3. While holding the Clock button press the Minute button to adjust the minute.
4. Release the Clock button once the correct time is set.

Alarm

Setting the Alarm

1. In Power off mode, press and hold the Alarm Set button.
2. While holding the Alarm Set button press the Hour button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
3. While holding the Alarm Set button press the Minute button to adjust the minute.
4. Release the Alarm Set button once the correct time is set.
5. To set the alarm sound, adjust the Source switch to Line In/iPod for the buzzer or AM/FM for the radio.
   Note: Line In/iPod will not play music through a connected device as an alarm.
6. Press the Alarm On/Off button to activate or de-activate the alarm.
   When set and turned on, a small alarm indicator icon will appear on the display.
7. Once the set alarm time is reached, the alarm will sound.
8. Press the Alarm On/Off button to turn off the alarm sound.

Connecting and Playing an Audio Device

Using the Dock Connector

1. Connect a iPod to the unit by inserting the Dock Connector into the headphone jack located at the bottom of the iPod.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to iPod.
3. Use the native controls on the connected iPod to play and control audio played through the unit.
   Please note, this unit will not charge the connected device.

Using the Line In

Requires a 3.5mm audio cable (not included)

1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the Line In on the unit and an audio output on an MP3 player or other audio source.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to the Line In position.
3. Use the native controls on the connected MP3 player or other audio source to play and control audio played through the clock radio.

Radio

Tuning the AM or FM Radio

1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to the FM or AM position.
3. Turn the Tuning dial to the desired station. Adjust the FM Antenna to improve FM radio reception. An AM antenna is built into the unit. Adjust the unit to improve AM radio reception.
