How do I set the clock on the GPX HM102B?

With the unit in power off mode, press and hold the Clock button. While holding it, press the Hour button to adjust the hour and the Minute button to adjust the minute. The PM indicator lights when set to PM. Release the Clock button when the correct time is displayed.

How do I set the alarm?

In power off mode, press and hold the Alarm Set button. While holding, adjust the hour and minute using the Hour and Minute buttons. Release when set. The alarm sound (buzzer or radio) is selected by the Source switch. Press Alarm On/Off to enable. An alarm indicator appears on the display.

How do I connect an iPod to the docking station?

Insert the iPod into the built-in dock connector. Set the Source switch to iPod. Use the iPod's native controls to play music. Note: The unit does not charge the connected iPod.

Can I play music from an MP3 player or other device?

Yes, use the Line In input. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your device to the Line In jack on the back of the unit. Set the Source switch to Line In. Control playback from your device.

How do I tune the radio?

Press Power to turn on. Set the Source switch to AM or FM. Rotate the Tuning dial to select a station. Adjust the FM antenna or reposition the unit for better AM reception.

What type of batteries are needed for backup?

The clock requires 2 AA batteries (not included) for backup during short power outages. Primary functions (radio, alarm) will not work on battery alone.

Why is there no sound from the speakers?

Ensure the speakers are properly connected to the speaker outputs on the back. Check that the Source switch is set to the correct input (iPod, Line In, FM, AM). Also verify the volume is turned up on your connected device if using Line In or iPod.

Can I use the docking station to charge my iPod?

No, the GPX HM102B does not provide charging power to connected iPods or other devices. It only plays audio.

What should I do if the remote control doesn't work?

The unit does not include a remote control. All functions are operated using the buttons on the unit itself.

How do I clean the docking station?

Clean with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Avoid exposing to moisture.

Introduction

Power Press to turn the unit on or off.

Power

Plug the included AC/DC power adapter into the DC POWER INPUT on the dock and an AC power outlet to power the dock.

Battery Backup

The battery backup is intended for short power outages only. The clock radio's primary functions cannot run off of the battery backup alone.

Connecting Speakers to the Unit

1. Connect the speaker cables, which are attached to the external speakers, to the Speaker Outputs located on the back of the unit.

Clock

Setting the Clock

1. In Power off mode, press and hold the Clock button.
2. While holding the Clock button press the Hour button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
3. While holding the Clock button press the Minute button to adjust the minute.
4. Release the Clock button once the correct time is set.

Alarm

Setting the Alarm

1. In Power off mode, press and hold the Alarm Set button.
2. While holding the Alarm Set button press the Hour button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
3. While holding the Alarm Set button press the Minute button to adjust the minute.
4. Release the Alarm Set button once the correct time is set.
5. To set the alarm sound, adjust the Source switch to Line In/iPod for the buzzer or AM/FM for the radio. Note: Line In/iPod will not play music through a connected device as an alarm.
6. Press the Alarm On/Off button to activate or de-activate the alarm. When set and turned on, a small alarm indicator icon will appear on the display.
7. Once the set alarm time is reached, the alarm will sound.
8. Press the Alarm On/Off button to turn off the alarm sound.

Connecting and Playing an Audio Device

Using the Dock Connector

1. Connect a iPod to the unit by inserting the Dock Connector into the headphone jack located at the bottom of the iPod.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to iPod.
3. Use the native controls on the connected iPod to play and control audio played through the unit.
   Please note, this unit will not charge the connected device.

Using the Line In

Requires a 3.5mm audio cable (not included)

1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the Line In on the unit and an audio output on an MP3 player or other audio source.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to the Line In position.
3. Use the native controls on the connected MP3 player or other audio source to play and control audio played through the clock radio.

Radio

Tuning the AM or FM Radio

1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
2. Adjust the Source switch (Line In, iPod, FM, AM) to the FM or AM position.
3. Turn the Tuning dial to the desired station.
   Adjust the FM Antenna to improve FM radio reception.
   An AM antenna is built into the unit. Adjust the unit to improve AM radio reception.
