Frequently Asked Questions - Neo 4 Zempire

How do I pitch the Zempire Neo 4 tent?
Clear the site of sharp objects. Spread out the inner tent (white) with the round door at the front. Assemble the 4 pole sections without snapping them together. Thread the RED poles through diagonal sleeves and insert ends into pins. Thread the BLUE poles through front and rear sleeves and insert into rings. Peg out all peg points, using webbing loops at pole bases. Finally, pull the fly over the inner tent, connecting orange webbing loops at the front and attaching Velcro loops inside the fly to pole sleeves.
What do the different pole colors indicate?
The RED poles run diagonally across the centre of the tent. The BLUE poles run through the front and rear pole sleeves. This colour-coding simplifies assembly.
How should I peg out the tent?
Peg out all peg points around the inner tent. At the base of each pole, peg through the webbing loop rather than the ring. Insert pegs at a 45° angle for better hold. It is recommended to guy out guy ropes at all times.
How do I attach the fly to the inner tent?
Pull the fly over the inner tent. The orange webbing loops indicate the front. Connect the Velcro loops inside the fly around the cut outs on the corresponding pole sleeve. Attach the elastic loop over existing inner pegs; where no peg exists, peg the fly directly into the ground leaving space between inner and fly.
Can I use a stove or open flame inside the tent?
No. Do not use an open flame inside the tent. The fabric is treated with a fire retardant but is in no way fireproof. Seriously, keep all flames away.
How do I clean mildew from the tent?
If mildew forms, wash it off with warm water and a soft brush. Do not use detergents. This prevents further growth.
What should I do if the tent gets wet before packing?
Never pack your tent away wet. If you must take it down when wet, dry it completely as soon as possible to prevent mildew. Never store wet.
How do I maintain the poles and pegs?
Clean all pegs and poles before storing. This prevents dirt and corrosion. Store them clean and dry.
Where is Zempire based?
Freedom Zempire is proud to be a 100% New Zealand owned and operated business. For more information, visit their website.
What is the recommended ventilation practice?
Open windows whenever possible to allow adequate ventilation. This reduces condensation and keeps the tent fresh.
