OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installing batteries

  • Open the battery compartment lid and insert two1,5 V (UM1) batteries, following the polarity.
  • Close the battery compartment lid.

Note:

Do not use new and old or batteries of different types together.

If the operation of the unit is unstable, check the batteries and replace them if necessary.

Remove the battery, if you are not going to use the unit for a long time.

  1. Before connection of the

unit, check, whether the electricity supply in your home sockets corresponds to the voltage specified on the housing of the unit.

  1. Insert the plug into the socket; the battery supply will be cut.
  2. Switch on the unit, by rotating the VOL control downwards till the click.
  3. Use the band switch to select the desired band.
  4. Use the TUNING control to tune to the desired station.
  5. Use the VOL control to set the required volume level.

Note:

You can use the tone control: while listening to the news, set the control to the LOW position, while listening to music – to the HI position.

For better reception of FM or SW stations, fully extend the antenna and direct it at the required angle. For reception of MW stations the unit is equipped with a built-in antenna, for better reception of MW stations, try different variants of the unit location.
