How do I reset the T-Mobile Speedport LTE II to factory defaults?

Using a paperclip, press and hold the Reset button on the back panel for about 10 seconds until the LEDs blink. The router will restart with default settings.

The default Wi-Fi password is printed on the label on the bottom of the router. It is usually a combination of letters and numbers.

How can I access the router's web interface?

Open a browser and enter http://speedport.ip or 192.168.1.1. The default admin password is often on the device label.

What LTE bands does the Speedport LTE II support?

It supports bands: 1, 3, 7, 8, 20 (common in Europe). Check your carrier for compatibility.

Can I use the router with any SIM card?

Yes, but it may be locked to T-Mobile. If locked, you need an unlock code from T-Mobile.

How do I update the firmware?

Go to the web interface, navigate to System > Firmware Update. Download the latest firmware from T-Mobile support and upload it.

The Wi-Fi signal is weak. What can I do?

Place the router centrally, avoid obstructions. Connect an external antenna to the SMA ports. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel in settings.

How do I set up a guest Wi-Fi network?

Log in to the web interface, go to Wi-Fi > Guest Network. Enable it and set a separate SSID and password.

What does the LAN/WAN port do?

The port can act as a LAN for connecting a computer, or as a WAN for connecting a DSL/cable modem. It detects automatically.

How do I change the admin password?

In the web interface, go to System > Administration. Enter the current password, then the new password, and save.
